MeldaProduction freezes With VIP

Anyone having this problem MeldaProduction freezing? So far it has only happened in the VIP software. I’m using Windows 10 and it does on both of my computers.

Hmmm, no idea, I don't have any reports like that, so I'd suggest asking the developers of this VIP thing (what on earth is that btw? never heard of it)

It’s Akai’s version of Kontrol, for its midi controllers, and for some M Audio keyboards. It is supposed to map your VSTis and VSTs to its standalone or plugin versions.
I can test it, but not before the weekend.

Note, however, that VIP doesn’t run VST3. Maybe you have some mix up there?

Just using vst’s with VIP tried the latest update didn’t help. When I load a MeldaProduction plug-in it works,I can hear the change. But as soon as I try to change the preset or anything else it freezes the whole program.

Is there a way to try it without any of these controllers? Anyways you'll most likely have to report it to them anyways.

I’m not sure what you are asking, I don’t have any problems in other programs.

Note, however, that VIP doesn’t run VST3. Maybe you have some mix up there?

Just realized I only install VST3 for Melda, which are not available in VIP. Would have to install VST2s, which I´d rather not. Sorry!

While at first it was a product only available with their Advance line of keyboards, they are now trying to market the software for third-party controllers too:

An AKAI VIP 3.0 trial version can be downloaded from f.e. https://www.pluginboutique.com/products ... P-Standard and is ilok protected. It downloads an ilok trial license if not registered with a serial.

A controller is not needed to use it. Everything works only with a mouse.

It "kind of" works on OSX. Presets can be saved and recalled but the preset names are not updated correctly when recalled. Bank mapping does not work.

As I understand the matter a developer needs to support a few specific VST methods to be 100% compatible with VIP. And not all plugins on the market do support these calls. Newest Arturia V Collection f.e. does not but in my experience most VST plugins do work to some degree. It is similar to NKS (Komplete Kontrol) from NI but more based on the VST standard and not a separate thing like NKS. AKAI allegedly has some developer information available for "VIPMS – The VIP Native Plugin Map Standard" but I can not find anything online.

Ok, I'll check it out when time allows. Anyways what is the exact problem here - because from freesing when changing presets we kinda ended up with some "VIPMS" whatever that is.
