Suggesting opening a ticket for something I have not experienced myself is indeed the best way to get your issue resolved. I'm sorry if that is not satisfactory for some, but the support team is there to handle support issues via the trackable ticket system so they can gather multiple reports and eeither fix directly if possible or send aggregated data to the developers in a bug if there's a global issue.
Edit - personally, I'd suppose this is possibly a permissions issue on some systems but I'm not experiencing the issue myself nor can I recreate it so it is again best to consult those that are there to provide technical support via the best medium to do so. They can be reached at http://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support/mi/

Just wanted to say IK has done a great job. The new GUI is nice. The plugs alone sound really really good. Compared them to some hardware and the tone is neck and neck. Each analog unit will NEVER sound the same which is why I swap different plugs because the characteristics are in the same ball park but with its own thing.

Posted this in reply to your post on Gearslutz too:Johnny Blade wrote:Sorry for my English... This is what I mean:Johnny Blade wrote:Was the 'white noise" in the Classic EQ fixed? Can anyone confirm that, please?
I have read that the Classic EQ is producing a white noise every 10 seconds. Is this true or only occurred in the demo version? Could someone confirm, please?
I hope crossposting this here and hopefully resolving your issue during my weekend time isn't "spamming the forums"As pointed out above that would happen in demo mode. Make sure you have your plugins authorized and you should not have this issue. IYou can do this by opening the Custom Shop application which is found in your Start Menu on Windows or Applications folder on Mac and then go to T-RackS, Gear --> Restore My Gear.
For me, this is the fastest and easiest way to make sure your authorized plugins show up correctly.

Thank you for the kind words, I'll relay them to the team. As someone who has used many of the hardware units we model along the years (for example, I still haven't used the hand-built unit that Opto Comp is modeled after, unfortunately, as that is truly one-of-a-kind) I can say that even if I didn't work here I'd say we get so very close to how each hardware model (not software model, but the make/model of the hardware) is supposed to sound in each case and extremely close to the specific units we've modeled as they do vary from one another as you point out.prene wrote:Just wanted to say IK has done a great job. Not to get too far off on a tangent but with my perspective of coming from a formal education in audio engineering starting around 1990 and the overlap/transition with regard to analog/tape and digital audio along the way from there I definitely feel like we've all come a long way with digital technology beyond my typical happiness from the simple sentiment of "I'm glad I don't have to use a razor blade on tape any more unless I want to" and I do feel like IK's developers are doing some really great work on the analog modeling front.

You've just pointed out IK's weakness. They can have someone from the Promotions and Sales department man the forums with snarky comments especially pre-sale but God forbid a support person should take one second to at least pretend they care by posting here.....Peter - IK Multimedia wrote: I hope crossposting this here and hopefully resolving your issue during my weekend time isn't "spamming the forums"
If IK can use KVR as your personal sales floor then at least have some respect and provide some post sales support from those able (?) to help without having to faff about filling out tickets, waiting for a response etc. I know you think the Ticket System is convenient for you but it is not convenient for customers who just need simple questions answered by someone who just might know the answers.
This issue is a perfect example. No it's not a permissions issue because some of the presets in the same folders do show up. If it was a permissions issue none of the Presets would show. Perhaps someone from Support could have grasped that fact.....or perhaps not.
Look, the bottom line for me is I like TRacks 5, it sounds awesome and was at a very fair price but it's become painfully obvious that IK's concern for after sales support is abysmal at best. That's a fact I will take into consideration with future purchase decisions.

Re the GUIs: I have to say the control labels and numeric values are too small (for me). In some, when I twiddle a knob its label is replaced by the numeric value - but in an even smaller font size!
Perhaps they are designed to resemble the original analogue gear as closely as possible. But ...

Peter what it seems is that the GUI labels scale however some parameter value fonts do not. So, it really is an issue on 4k monitors. Just check the default "One" interface that opens as default.DarkStar wrote:Re the GUIs: I have to say the control labels and numeric values are too small (for me).

O.k., was not sure so far about "support" in here, now for me it seems clear its just about advertising....
If the question for this simple question:
Thanks to "support" with posting in the other forum for Teksonic, at least there is some support in here
If the question for this simple question:
needs a support ticket, o.k., I am definitely wrong in here....Sorry if I have missed something but usually I install IK products and just use them without worrying much about updates (lik my old T-Racks3).
So, could it be in 2017 and with this custom shop annoying there still is no possibility to check for updates inside T-Racks5 ? I have looked evrywhere where I suppose it could be (Infobutton, settings, my account). Mine shows 5.0.0.(J731), download says something about 5.0.0 B but I thought I have seen a 5.0.0.2 somewhere mentioned

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but looking at the different options for EQ curves in EQual, is this basically every IK EQ in one plugin and then some?

I do find “support tickets” are the way to get personalized support. This is not Peter’s job, as problems discussed in these threads are quite individual or only concern some forum members. I for one had no problems whatsoever with the presets. Here’s to T-RackS 5 and Peter’s patience!

So, anyway, I’ve finally had time to install it, get it registered and have quick look at it. Is it okay if I offer a tiny bit of user-friendly feedback for your next update??
Rhetorical question, I’m going to suggest it anyway. :p
With the module filter on the right of the UI, it would be a nice workflow option to allow the user to optionally Cmd/Ctrl Click on any of the buttons, to immediately select that category only as opposed to “adding” that catagory to the current selection.
Currently, the only option to view a category one at a time at is to manually deselect each filter.
Similarly, dragging and dropping will always add a new module to the chain. That makes sense for the most part, but what if the user were auditioning the processors?? There are many occasions it can be more desirable to replace a module already in the chain, rather than add a new one.
Perhaps, offering the ability to Cmd/Ctrl Drag and Drop a module to replace another would also help sweeten the workflow for users.
These aren’t huge time killers, but efficiency tweaks are always a helpful thing.
