Select the module in the chain, Alt_click the module in the Browser. Sadly, TR5 then selects the first module in the chain, rather than the one just loaded.simon.a.billington wrote:Similarly, dragging and dropping will always add a new module to the chain. That makes sense for the most part, but what if the user were auditioning the processors?? There are many occasions it can be more desirable to replace a module already in the chain, rather than add a new one.
Perhaps, offering the ability to Cmd/Ctrl Drag and Drop a module to replace another would also help sweeten the workflow for users.

Where on Earth could you possibly find TR5 max for $80?Caine123 wrote:Still unsure with ikm. I see more promo than real work. I only bought tracks 5 max cause it was around 80 bucks only

The DynaMu is the only new processor based on a piece of real-world hardware (EQual has some EQ curves based on hardware EQ's, but to my knowledge, no preamp saturation of any of those processors - unfortunately I am unable to use this plugin yet due to the broken gui). I have no real world experience using a VariMu so I cannot speak to how it compares there.HcDoom wrote:So, how does the new modules sound? Anything stands out regarding realism and sound quality?
Comparing the DynaMu to the Fairchild I'd say that, when driven, the DynaMu has a pleasant low end and overall warm sound whereas the Fairchild was not as warm with not as much low end. Compared to the White 2A (and this goes for the DynaMu overall from my first impressions), the White 2A distorts pretty good, whereas the DynaMu didn't so much as distort, but again lend a nice warmness and low end heft when driven to the max. Also tested against ReaComp, again, it seems this comp just has a character of it's own. Whether this means it's a spot on emulation of a Manley, that, I could not say.
As far as One, I think I am going to have a problem level matching with that one without inserting some gain plugins. The 'analog' definitely will add some saturation. I see that limiter distorting if pushed hard.

So I have T-Racks 4 Grand, plus a few extra modules, will I just be able to install the Custom Shop and use my existing modules within that?

Well, I guess I could use my plugins with the new version, but they will be second class citizens, I think I'll just pass on this completely. I'll just make the chains I need with the V4 plugins directly in Reaper as usual.

Exactly. Someone in support would have looked at the details of a support issue and "grasped" things (I also have a lot of experience in IT, much higher than basic PC troubleshooting but I apparently missed a minor detail of something that is once again something for support to handle and I was merely making a casual suggestion and getting shamed for a minor details/miss is exactly why we wouldn't offer direct technical support here - I'd think that point was clear before this).Fleer wrote:I do find “support tickets” are the way to get personalized support. This is not Peter’s job, as problems discussed in these threads are quite individual or only concern some forum members. I for one had no problems whatsoever with the presets. Here’s to T-RackS 5 and Peter’s patience!
And thank you for the kind words, I appreciate it and I know I've helped you on multiple levels that go outside "promotion/sales" and will continue to do so and to make sure people get the best help possible. Obviously you know this more from my interactions on Cakewalk which also go beyond not only that "promotion/sales" dig that some seem to enjoy making as well as general participation outside of just IK-related due to situations where some of the experience I have (mentioned in another post) being helpful and useful there. Different communities are open to different things, and I'm glad you find my participation in both of the mentioned communities helpful .

Not answering in order, but first I'll thank you for the comments - yes it is good to post comments/suggestions and I will also relay them to the team for consideration.simon.a.billington wrote:I noticed the dinosaur has broken loose to release untold terror on the town. It’s a pity it’s gone, I liked the dinosaur
So, anyway, I’ve finally had time to install it, get it registered and have quick look at it. Is it okay if I offer a tiny bit of user-friendly feedback for your next update??
Rhetorical question, I’m going to suggest it anyway. :p
With the module filter on the right of the UI, it would be a nice workflow option to allow the user to optionally Cmd/Ctrl Click on any of the buttons, to immediately select that category only as opposed to “adding” that catagory to the current selection.
Currently, the only option to view a category one at a time at is to manually deselect each filter.
Similarly, dragging and dropping will always add a new module to the chain.
These aren’t huge time killers, but efficiency tweaks are always a helpful thing.
About the dino, I don't think he (she? Sadly, we've never met face to face so I don't know) is locked in the info window (perhaps we should name the dino Zod?) and can't wreak much havoc from there. If there is a Jurassic Park-esque or Superman II-like escape I will alert people here first, no need for a support ticket.
