My pleasure jmg8! And don't worry, haters hate, that's what they do
. Without it they would feel empty
. I can agree that it apparently isn't as unique as I thought, but still, it's the most powerful and easy to use spectral panner out there and it's even free so...

...ya dat marketing is a bitch...he shoulda had a list of 299.00usd
, introductory 199.00usd
, and a thirty-second special one-day discount at 29usd
...now that's "revolutionary!"
...'cause as far as I can tell FFT is decades old, widely disseminated in all engineering schools, and generally not well understood by most "artists"
...(sigh)...ya have the "time domain," the "frequency domain," and the "marketing domain"...(same as it ever was)...(sigh)...btjm.../s~

Nice, Vojtech! I was way impressed when I saw you included four modulators in a free plug-in. I figured a non-free version would follow that supported modulation.
Anyway, looks like SoundBytes Magazine has found its next Freebie of the Month (if I can only find time to write it).
Next issue should be available in about twelve days.

dmbaer: Thank you!
. I'm actually not sure
, without the upgrade the modulators will be there, but they probably won't be available for configuration, so the presets will be the only way to use it.
steve2KVR: Hehe yeah
. Anyways what people don't understand is the problems with FFT for resynthesis. It's actually rather complicated, that's probably why there's so little spectral effects. Time domain is always better. And well marketing domain, I hate that one
.
steve2KVR: Hehe yeah

Uf, I forgot to check that one, so I'm glad it does!

Yeah, I see I'm going to have to be careful when writing about the modules in the free bundle. Since I bought the upgrade and am not faced with the limitations, those limitations can be easy to overlook. But even without the ability to save configurations as presets, I can see that this one is potentially very useful and unique. I haven't even had time to install it yet, but was very impressed with what I read in the documentation. The presets shown in the documentation do look intriguing.MeldaProduction wrote:dmbaer: Thank you!. I'm actually not sure

I wonder if you have a commercial (fuller-function) version planned. I was fantasizing about one in which you could specify up to four graphs and morph between them with an XY controller. Of course, that would be pretty easy to build in MXXX I think ... so many possibilities, so little time!

Hehe yeah, probably temporarily deactivate it when needed
.
Well, it lets you modulate 32 points of the graph, so with multiparameters you can probably already do that

Finally found time to install this and play around a bit.
First thing: I found that I had never watched the video tutorial on using the graph editor. Big mistake! The graph editor is hella powerful and not at all obvious in its use. This is the first time I found I needed some deep graph editing. Great tutorial - highly recommended. In fact, I would call it essential viewing for anyone wishing to use MSpectralPan.
However, I do think Melda could have been a little more generous with the preset capability. A multi-param to control the LFO speed in the modulated presets would not be giving away the store. This freebie is the best motivation yet to upgrade to the commercial version of the bundle. A little more preset capability would do much to advertise that fact, IMO.

I made a short vid going over this new plugin. Easy to use and free. What more can you ask for.
