When I first tried Spectral I wasn't too impressed. I kept reading this thread and some people were talking about some of the unique features and character of Spectral. So I gave it a second look. I discovered its value, for me. If I hadn't given it a closer look/listen, because of positive comments people were making, I would have missed the deal maybe. I weighed a) I'd be stuck with it and b) it eventually wouldn't work with updated OSs and DAWs. I decided if I got 2 years use out of it that would be fine. I don't update my music machine that often and at this point if none of the software ever got updated I'd be fine until my dying breath. I'll keep updating but weight the impact as I go. So I felt I would get $50 worth out of Spectral. But it wasn't an obvious contender....

What sense does it make to have a final date in this case? I think it lasts forever...

Two reasons:
- I believe he already mentioned 31 Dec
- He wants out completely.

Don’t forget he still has admin/financial/tax/regulatory work happening in the background to maintain.

I see. I demoed it: the sound was on the same level with Alpha 3, but hated the laggy GUI. Not worth the $49 for me. But if it works for you...

mh ... there was two installers, about 2GB each, for loops and sounds...i'd guess, can't remember well.

Or were they part of the "RMV" product, and not separate stuffs?
I this case, then no, they were not free but part of the plugin.

There were three "stock" installers - RMV, drum library, and loop library. The Lambrik loops was an additional fourth paid installer (serial needed). I've got them - I could plop them in Dropbox or even email them?
