O.k. that sounds good. But you seems to have a powerful machine.EvilDragon wrote:That unison doesn't seem to kill my CPU. 16 voices unison with all internal FX on and tons of drive and filter self-oscillating, at around 9% CPU usage in Reaper (i7-6700K at 4.5 GHz)Very manageable, Repro-5 is hungrier (at HQ and all FX.)
But maybe i should give the plug-in a try then since i can run 5-8 Repro with my set-up with MC and HQ. More with HQ off. And i mean 8 voices.
I just have a lame 2.0 Ghz i7 quadcore macbook from 2013 but at least it should handle then the same amount of instances of Odyssey. For pads and non-percussive sounds i also have no problem to go to 1024 buffer if that helps.
I would be quite happy to run 2-3 at 16 voices before freezing or bouncing.
I don´t need to demo the sound because i know that it sounds great but was so unsure about the performance. That gives me a bit hope
If Korg could add MC it would be of course a no brainer for me. I think these things doesn´t work in iOS yet and it seems clear that they ported the iOS version close to 1:1 but i do hope there will be updates for this.
I even consider the Collection which seems well priced since they say they will update them (i guess to the iOS versions) and the plug-ins including all the presets which are only available on iOS due to inn app purchases (i think for about $5 each).
So maybe it´s better as i thought.
If i now could see how big the GUI is on my macbook pro 15" retina.
I can see how the Gadget looks and not sure if the Arp Odyssey is the same.
However, i already see G.A.S. coming in early this year
