Yes that's practically a neccessity. The first post used to be updated when new versions were avbailable, and Abique did promise to do so now too, once the current builds reach a stable level.

Don't worry guys, builds are coming by the end of the week.
I'm just quite busy these days :)
Have all a nice week,
Alex
Which week?

Or have I missed it?

Hello,

I'll publish the latest build once Bitwig 2.3 Beta 1 is out.

Alex :)

Hmm, this rings some alarm bells for me. Will the next build only work with Bitwig? What's the state of affairs with other plugin hosts and DAWs (Ardour, Mixbus, Carla, Qtractor, Reaper, Tracktion etc.)? Which are supposed to work, which are not? For those that do not work correctly with Repro have there been feature requests to support Repro's UI handling in the future.

You see, I'm actually getting nervous as I'm an Ardour, Mixbus and Carla user and only the very first beta has been working acceptably here.

My feeling is that you will have to change things on your end to be able to run the plugins. The changes might be anything from OS, distro, host and specific libraries it seems.
I am not bashing anyone but the way this is heading AFAIK is towards compability issues,

I have a lot of other stuff where the developers have decided to build their products with as old libraries and compilers as possible and bundle the essential required shared libraries with the plugin/software to make the product as usable as possible in as many environments as possible. A very nice way to make stuff stable and portable.

I am no developer but that approach seems to me the best way to achieve the best end user experience.

Sadly, I do not think that is the way we are heading regarding U-he linux stuff unfortunately.

I am equally nervous.

Best regards, Anders

hi, I've downloaded Repro-1 beta off u-he.com yesterday.
I'm on Ubuntu 17.10, amd64, BitWig 2.2.3,
installed using the installer script.

I can see the plugin listed, and it shows the gui, It even plays.

The problem is I cannot register it.
The gray dialog for "purchase" or "register" does not respond to my clicks on "register". nothing happens.

I looked in the installed wrapper script, and tried running it with parameters, most would fail with SIGSEGV, and specifically 'register' did the same.

Did I do something wrong? Am I missing a library? (I didn't run ldd, maybe I should)

Help would be nice.

The one on first page is ancient. That beta was before Repro-1 was even released as stable.
Try the one on the official U-he site
https://uhedownloads-heckmannaudiogmb.n ... nux.tar.gz

Or try the one I am using
Build 6824. That's the last one I can run on my system

You should be able to enter the license in the file in ~/.uhe/Repro-1/Support/com.u-he.Repro-1.user

the format is:
Username
xxxx-xxxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxxxx

Are you sure it isn't already registered from a previous version.
Is it making the the usual demo crackling sound when you use it?

Post

The path to the plugin and prefs changed sometime between early version and later. That could be the case.

Guys I'm tired of hearing that horrible noise and considering buying anyway :) Is there a workaround for the "can't see menus, can't set interface zoom" problem on ubuntu 17.10 in version 4408 (of diva but I suspect all the others)? I don't have windows so my investment is for linux only.

There is a newer build of Diva available just FYI but I don't think that solves the problem. Go ahead and buy, I have done that even if I have to carefully select builds to be able to use them. I use them live so that makes me a bit picky about what's happening from now on.

Yes I've tried the new builds... they add more problems at the moment so if I buy now I'm only keeping into account 4408

Post

But before I buy... I have to be able to insert that serial number into something... bazille is already registered since a long time in my setup, but for Diva, I can't enter the serial (I guess it's as in some post above). We really need those menus back. In the meantime I can use diva through linvst but the cpu/buffer load is much higher @abique anything to add about this? Is it fixed in your current code?

Post

A workaround to missing menus is to use the mouse wheel to change settings. Cheers!

Post

That does not work for setting the zoom level... I have a 1920x1024 display on my laptop :)
