I think people here are missing the point. What the op is implying is...WINDOWS 10 IS SHIT! which happens to be true. Win 10 is the modern day version of vista but far worse. Myerson is the worst thing that ever happened to microsoft and the sooner he gets the sword the better imo.

I feel sorry for new pt users and those who buy new computers as package deals knowing win7 is not an option.

Steinberg last summer warned about the upcoming fall creators update of Windows 10 - don't do it, until we tested our software that it stills works.

I mean this is as clear as it gets - even Steinberg struggle with keeping up with what MS is doing with Windows 10.

So yes, those that I saw suggested that Microsoft buy Cakewalk and actually start to understand what daws are doing and need from OS - that would be a good thing.

Lot's of plugins - meaning other software inside one software process - don't limit this.
Stupid things like this happended because MS did not realize how hundreds of other software used within a daw process.

Technically speaking, the real problem is that TLS or FLS (whatever Local Storage) is generally not even needed and used anyway.

Plug-ins should not include any TLS or FLS functionality and the libraries they depend upon should likewise.

Unfortunately, that's a complicated subject and difficult to solve. This problem is like quicksand. Or a swamp...
