I confess, mystery solved.

I'd rather listen to Beyonce than Drake, though.
He's almost as overrated as Radiohead.

A topic like this really emphasizes how "not-black" KVR is.

Nobody is as overrated as radiohead.

I think it points to the maturation of KVR myself. The EDM kids are waking up, and it brings joy to my heart. I see it more every day. They just have to get over the fear of pop. It will come in time. For now.. let them bask in their own rock.

"What is so groundbreaking about Beyonce's Lemonade"

"Beyonce's body of work"

:hihi:

Oh I don't know. Beyonce is at least as overrated as Radiohead. Probably more. In fact, definitely more.

You guys couldn't write a powerful pop song if someone put a gun to your head. Neither could I. You have to give up your pride.. and realize the power of music. More complicated doesn't make it better. You have to let the music bury it's self inside and then burst forth from your heart... exposing yourself as naked. You have to be able to stand naked in front of the world and express a feeling in such simple terms that everyone can hear it. It's a pride breaking experience. song writing is a lost art in the world of timbre over pitch. Maybe I'm not totally on the Beyonce train, but I like that girls track a lot. The DJ's went banana's over that track.

I'm not going to hate on people for doing their thing. it takes more heart to do something like that then to do your press button play trance track made from samples.

Speak for yourself.
Neither could I.
Ok, you did.

Yes, when I think "pop star" humility is totally the first thing that comes to mind.
More complicated doesn't make it better.
Boy have I seen this sentiment expressed a lot. While it is trivially true, it is also trivially true that simple doesn't make it better. And there is way more simple in the world.
You have to let the music bury it's self inside and then burst forth from your heart... exposing yourself as naked.
That seems a bit much. Especially considering all of the writing credits on that album. Were all of those people getting emotionally naked? Sounds messy.
You have to be able to stand naked in front of the world and express a feeling in such simple terms that everyone can hear it.
Not everyone, certainly. I certainly can't hear it. My niece seems to like it, though.

She is 12, by the way.
It's a pride breaking experience

Where are you meeting all of these humble pop stars? And how in hell did they become pop stars? Everything I have read indicates that one needs a titanic ego to get anywhere in that world. John Lennon wrote great pop songs, and he was about as humble as Caligula.

If you reduce the whole thing back down to that argument, it's really a "how much further can I shove my head up my own arse?" kind of thing isn't it?

The real question is "what is so groundbreaking about that KVR thread about what is so groundbreaking about Beyonce's Lemonade?"

Yawn.
Free plug-ins for Windows, MacOS and Linux. Xhip Synthesizer v8.0 and Xhip Effects Bundle v6.7.

Of all the song to use as reference, you just have to choose the one that heavily sampled somebody else's work. If singing on top of somebody else's music is your definition of talent, then i envy your ignorance.

If there's ANYTHING groundbreaking about ANY of her shit, it's that so much money and so many sexual favours were exchanged in the making of the album that it became a new record for the industry. It's a wonder she can even WALK with the amount of ritual SPOOGE oozing from her elite diva sniz.
Ouch :dog:

That's a little harsh there sqigls....

Defamatory and slanderous...

You'd better pray that her lawyers don't read those comments or you'll be taken to the cleaners
