Nspace wrote:Dasheesh, that'd be really good if is not for the already phased-out versions of Soundforge and Spectralayers. Soundforge 11 being the worst, since it isn't even 64- bit able, which leaves out most usable plugins plus its non ability to handle more than 3,5 GB RAM.Dasheesh wrote:WUT THA... https://www.magix.com/index.php?id=2473 ... f8f4c294c3 ! Samplitude Pro X SUITE + Sound Forge and Spectral Layers for 150$ !!! You'll never see that again in your lifetime.
In order to get both of them able to receive fixes and updates you'll have to pay other $150 each, so in fairness the lot will cost you near to $500 in total, and that gets you up to 2018 date, but most surely, this state will only last for a year lapse, be prepared to pay same number each year, according to Magix yearly update policy in effect...
Ah... I knew it had to be too good to be true. Glad I slept on it.

Will it not be at 50% off at Black Friday or do they usually wait a year until they offer discounts?
Only asking as I bought Komplete last November and was thinking of doing the upgrade to K12 Ultimate but now wondering if it makes more sense to buy Ultimate now and then just pay the update price when K12 drops.

I wouldn't plan on seeing a discount until Spring 2019.shonky wrote:meldavid wrote:Yep, but probs 3 months away, and it will be full price.

Think I'll hang on then, if the upgrade to ultimate is the same from whichever version of the standard Komplete, I'll essentially just get fined for impatiencesuperscan wrote:I wouldn't plan on seeing a discount until Spring 2019.shonky wrote:meldavid wrote:Yep, but probs 3 months away, and it will be full price.

Not in any great rush, still finding hidden gems in K11 so will learn that better and then buy during the first K12 sale.

Think of all the hits you could have made during the wait! Upgrading from regular to Ultimate is always a great deal at the 50% offer. But updating 9>11 regular version doesn't give you that much more content.
For me, since I'm still on 8, upgrading gives me better integration with Kontrol surfaces, which I still have to budget for. The extra sample libs and extra VSTs is not that attractive for me as I have Albion One, VSL SE and other VSL full libs. There's only a few holes in my arsenal really. I'm trying to merge EDM with orchestral, like Hybrid and I'm sure other producers have done, but on a more epic and aggressive level. Hell I want to write a musical. But I'm only dreaming really.

There's a handful of users in the sell & buy area that seem to have a near limitless supply of bundled software from Focusrite, Presonus, M-Audio, Akai, Audient etc.
Does anybody know what's up with those guys? I once asked one of those sellers out of curiosity where he gets all those licenses from, but wasn't able to get a real answer.
I don't want to imply that they are doing something shady. They all have good feedback and I've done business with some of them myself. But what business do you have to be in to own 20+ focusrite interfaces

Just the usual reminder for anyone wanting to jump in on the NI sales.
Sennheiser DrumMic'a is a free Kontakt Player library that is eligible for the crossgrade discount to the full version of Kontakt. This can then be used to crossgrade up to Komplete.

There's a thread about it here

Educational institutions with music programs usually have that. And because it is bundled software the software itself does not carry an educational restriction. Not saying that this is where is comes from. Just saying that this is a place where you would find bundled software in such piles.krabbencutter wrote:There's a handful of users in the sell & buy area that seem to have a near limitless supply of bundled software from Focusrite, Presonus, M-Audio, Akai, Audient etc.

I am just a hobbyist and I have 2 Focusrite interfaces - one for the desktop and one for the travel kit. I also have 2 novation keyboards. If I had been smart, I would have registered them all separately. But I didn't think about that.krabbencutter wrote:There's a handful of users in the sell & buy area that seem to have a near limitless supply of bundled software from Focusrite, Presonus, M-Audio, Akai, Audient etc.

I'm still on Komplete 9 Ultimate. Actually, Kontakt, Monark, and Razor are pretty much the only things I use from it, I uninstalled almost all of the sample libraries so 10 and 11 really added nothing for me. If the Komplete 12 rumors are true, about it coming with a new Kontakt, a new Massive, and all the Maschine libraries, I'll probably upgrade. But updating 9>11 regular version doesn't give you that much more content.
Sweet! I always feel silly being a Maschine user and making so little use of Komplete. I get more out of using NKS with my u-he plugins. For me, since I'm still on 8, upgrading gives me better integration with Kontrol surfaces, which I still have to budget for.
