MXXX: Lightest possible +/- gain module?

I've got quite a few point in the current config where I need to add a simple gain stage, and nothing else. I don't even need separate L/R controls (prefer not to), but I do often need +/-. I basically just need a single gainstage, and an enable button.

What's the absolute minimal CPU draw module to use for this? Utility? ChVolume? Something else?

Utility I think. But it will take about 5 mins to find out for sure. Just use the CPU benchmark feature.

Utility is a good choice for these simple tasks.

Not to contradict jmg and Vojtech, but on my computer (and accidentally left in low performance power mode) with the cpu benchmark I found channel volume and matrix were the lowest, with a very close second place by mixer. Utility was the highest of the 4. I'll use mixer for its convenience of a single parameter for volume.

OK, thx. I haven't measured, but guessed utility might be higher just due to the number of fiddly bits. Definitely want one slider, though, so mixer it is.

I'll probably create just some Volume & Panorama module, which is already there for MSoundFactory (not sure if the released version though).
