everyone knows that he is dead, but i wonder if you know that tonnes of people celebrate the birthdays of the deceased who they nevertheless have a great deal of respect for, or are fond of.

Why would you celebrate a dead persons birthday? Its not like they will get to blow the candles out...

I guess they want to imagine Micheal blowing candles in heaven, or wherever he might be.

Birthdays are celebrated for people that are alive not for those who are dead because it marks a year since he has been born and also the years he is alive

I don't see why you shouldn't celebrate the anniversary of someone's birth, even if he/she is dead. After all it's birthday, not ageday.
