I like the new look. Knobs/Controls look so much nicer. Unfortunately I am not sure their definition of Multi-touch is correct. I can only control one item at a time. Multi-touch should allow me to use multiple controls at once. Has anyone else tried this out? I was using the standalone version. I also crashed within a minute of running in Ableton. Similar thing happened first time I ran the beta, but never had another issue.
It's a terrific update. Lots of new surprises not available in the beta. Glad to have more Virus soundsources to work with.

A wonderful free update. Refreshed look, new patches, filters, oscillators, granular page etc. Lots to like. With any luck someone will build an Omni-centric synth-looking MIDI controller. One question with the filters: I notice you can only get to the variable state filters by clicking into the Filter details panel rather than trying to select via the dropdown. Does anyone know the logic of what defines which filters go into which list?

If you’re talking the filter list on the main page, those are presets of the two filters combined. If there is no svf preset there then that’s surprising. I would have thought they would have included a few. You don’t see any new svf presets there?Richard deHove wrote:A wonderful free update. Yes, a surprising omission indeed. Just saved a couple of new presets so its easily accessible from the regular layer page.

Anyone tried the Virus templates with a Ti? The layout is virtually identical so wondering if it would still work. That review puts the Virus in the 'outstanding' group as a controller.

Okay, just downloaded the 3 files required for update. Does it matter which one I run first?

I'd go software, sound source, patch, but likely doesn't matter as long as you install them all one after the other without launching.wagtunes wrote:Okay, just downloaded the 3 files required for update. Does it matter which one I run first?

FWIW, I did the smart update thing just to see what happened, and it all worked very well and speedily for me on both mac and win10.
Have to say I have had a few glitches in windows though. It crashed once, and just now a user patch of mine didn't play the ARP properly, ignoring the pitch data and then the GUI went nuts. Restarted and all was well. Oh, and one more quirk - some of the Big Boomer patches have clicks. Its an issue with Proverb - if you either bypass or reload the effect, normality is restored.

I've been hearing about a lot of Windows crashes. I'm actually hesitant to install this as my version (2.0.1) is rock solid. I may just wait until they work out the bugs only because I use Omnisphere more than any other synth that I own and the last thing I need is to have problems with it.noiseboyuk wrote:I'd go software, sound source, patch, but likely doesn't matter as long as you install them all one after the other without launching.wagtunes wrote:Okay, just downloaded the 3 files required for update. Is anyone seeing long times for the user interface to reflect patch changes in Cubase? I'm finding that it is taking ten or more seconds when changing between patches for the new patch name and settings to be displayed. The patch is playable very quickly, but the GUI is very slow to show the new details. I took part in the beta and didn't notice this problem.
In the standalone application, the GUI updates immediately. This only seems to affect me inside Cubase, version 9.0.40.
