From what I understand it is a separate product, so technically not an "upgrade". Both versions are available for purchase. I still would have appreciated a little more "loyalty appreciation" though.Insanelysane wrote: Tue Oct 30, 2018 3:45 pm Pretty abysmal pricing for existing XOSPHERE owners, this to me is a greedy pricing upgrade for loyal customers.
No wonder they had Xosphere on sale for $99 only a few months ago.. Im so glad I didnt bite then, Id feel mighty underwhelmed if I had, with the now superseded version just leaving a bad taste. Greedy to ask for near full price again (expensive price to begin with) and put a 'limited time offer' on it too. Bad bad vibes.

Lots of weirdness at JRR at the moment... did they take down that Metric Halo bundle offer? It's still listed in the blowouts as a really good deal, was going to get it but when I click it the price changes back to the regular amount, also when added to cart. Some of the JSD drum packs are lots more expensive in the blowouts than in the regular store. I added a bunch of products to my cart in blowouts, some marked down and some not, but the overall price was higher than for the exact same (but none marked down) products after auto-discount (w/o coupons) in the regular store... strange.
Confucamus.

Most of the time, the Blowouts are the same price with the group discount. Once in a while they are lower. And? No extra discount off the Blowouts.
Maybe they are moving stuff around?

As long as they offer v5 owner the $199 upgrade price. If there's no penalty for skipping a version or two I do, I'm in this for the long run and there's plenty of plug ins I own I need to learn how to use before buying new ones at inflated prices.martinjuenke wrote: Tue Oct 30, 2018 8:08 am I bet that V7 is around the corner…
Everybody with V6 will get the offer to upgrade to it for supa doopa 199$…
And in one year you can buy V7 for 250$ at NI...
That‘s a far better cash generation than subscription models!

You know you don't need it. You also know that this is not what will make your music better. It's a get rich quick scheme that only works for the software vendors.I'm trying really hard to convince myself I don't need 15 more synths, but I'm not sure if it's working...![]()

My current strategy when temptation strikes is to open up a synth I bought but haven't used that much and spend some time exploring itiftango wrote: Tue Oct 30, 2018 11:14 pmYou know you don't need it. Then I realise either there is no need to buy anything new or I have something I can hopefully sell

Based on the regular price, the intro discount for owners of Xosphere is 30% off.mgw38 wrote: Tue Oct 30, 2018 4:40 pmFrom what I understand it is a separate product, so technically not an "upgrade". I guess their market is mainly the pro composers, that's probably why they charge higher prices. Other similar companies like Heavyocity and Spitfire Audio are releasing premium products with premium price tags, even for loyalty discount.
At least, if that's the kind of product that fits your needs, you can expect pro-quality stuff.

Maybe you should contact Uncle E. He's one of the nicest seller on the web, and probably the most reactive here.Rockatansky wrote: Tue Oct 30, 2018 7:16 pm Lots of weirdness at JRR at the moment... did they take down that Metric Halo bundle offer? As for JSD, they're allowing us to do extra discounts in-cart for the Halloween sale only. They normally don't allow that so I decided not to reconfigure the blowout site prices for such a short term promotion. Please buy from the normal site using the "Group" coupon code, that will be the best price:

New product from softube, "harmonics" https://www.softube.com/index.php?id=harmonics . Intro seems to be 99$, normal 149$. Very similar UI to their Tape. There's also a really interesting youtube video linked on their site.
This looks really interesting.

Current Arturia promo at NI looks nice, but I think there's no point getting that V6 bundle if you already have komplete.
I rather wait until NI updates it's GUI, than it will be obvious to everyone, that it's a better bundle
Of course, If the BLACK FRIDAY price of V6 would be ~99 $, it would be hard to resist...

Please justify this assertion for those that are not familiar with either product.dune_rave wrote: Thu Nov 01, 2018 4:44 am Current Arturia promo at NI looks nice, but I think there's no point getting that V6 bundle if you already have komplete.
