So in other words, make your long term investment now while The Dark Zebra is on sale

I think 2019 is plausible, seeing that Urs mentioned Z3 may start with less features than Z2. But probably no Beta before summer is my expectation

If I had to make a depressingly honest guess (knowing how slow updates can be on what's on the plate already), mine would be: official release Q2 2020 with maybe a public beta in Q1.

Entirely possible. Not sure what the best course of action would be. That’s a looong time to invest in a new product. I‘d prefer they cut down the scope for initial release to a bare bones and built it up over time like a modular.

But I do understand people are difficult and no matter how well you explain it, they may not return if the initial release doesn’t blow it out of the water.

I would like that too but I don't think it's a good idea from a sales/marketing perspective.

Yep. It doesn't have to have everything but should be pretty substantial from first release to have maximum probability of creating a heavy psychological impact.

In the meantime I'm pretty happy with Hive developments.
