Hi all, before I posted the softube deal I got the grand channel to make sure it worked. It took about a half hour for the code to get emailed, but I had no problem registering it with softube or activating the ilok. Downloaded, installed, and everything was good. Sorry for the wild goose chase but I hope you all get the codes!

I'm in the US, ordered last night, and did not get an immediate serial.

I called MF this morning (yes, they are there on one of the two biggest US holidays) and I was told they are awaiting more serials from the manufacturer.

Same here. I ordered last night, and still no serial. It is 12:15 PM here in NY, and it is still available for purchase at $19 on their website, so I am hopeful that this will indeed go through.

so with FabFilter Pro-Q 2 on sale, but still more expensive than kiloHearts Slice EQ, I'm not sure which one to go for.
From what I read they share most features and some says the Slice EQ produces a better sound (?)...

Did anyone try both? thanks

If anything, this BF sale helped me reconnect with Toontrack and reminded me how good their products are. I keep "bypassing" them when I'm working on tracks or mixing, but man, they do sound good and have such great features (drums, keys and mix series). And their install/authorization system is something other companies should copy...

Kilohearts does have some discount on AudioDeluxe and JRRshop, just been looking at it

You could also get the full TDR bundle for less than the cost of Q2 and many seem to swear by Nova being better than Q2

I'm in the same boat as you trying to find a good EQ there's just too much choice and no wrong answer on what is best

Even after the recent update, there’s still some spectrum analyzer lag with Nova that’s annoying. YMMV.

Just demo everything and see if you think Pro-Q2 is worth the cash.

I don’t think Nova specifically replaces Pro-Q2. They’re two different tools.

Be careful with the new Toontrack SD3 promotion. The fine print states that you get the free SDX only with the full and cross grade versions. I have not tested it but the way I read this it would exclude the upgrade from SD2. This is a bit of a trap because apparently the free SDX is never added to the cart and only shows up when you register SD3.

The free SDX they give is already included in the SD2 as it is the SD2 base library. Purchasers wouldn't lose anything, they just don't get anything extra.

Well that makes me feel better for not waiting to upgrade to SD3.

I sold my SD2 license, so I don’t have the core Avatar library anymore. But the SD3 core library is so amazing that I don’t miss them at all.
