I love eXT, but it's hardly a cross-platform, dual-license rewire-compatible host. Got the no-hassle part right, though, at least.
If Red was still over at CM, they wouldn't have run bullshit like that.

Whoops, hadn't meant to ignore you, Forms, just didn't see your post! Apologies.
Yup, Red was a CM employee. Not sure if he had much say over the editorial content per se, but with him around, at least at SOME point in the process of the team pulling together a mag he would surely have noticed such an oversight.

BoC are pretty cool, nice textures.
Though if I'm having a bad day, I'd suggest playing your Aphex Twin 'Selected Ambient II' vinyl on the wonkiest old Dansette you can find while sitting in a row boat for the same effect.

BOC's stuff can come and go on me. I'll listen to it and think; "yeah, a messed up pad sound, so what?" Then I'll play the same song a few days later and be utterly addicted to it.

They spew on about Cubase and Pro-Tools and having to buy two lisences, one for each platform. Muppets.
Rewire/VST/Cross-platform/no-need-to-buy-two-lisences-cos -you-get-two-anyway? Answers f**king obvious to me.
Pricks.
sometimes I think they read those letters like we read through a 50 page thread.. not very thoroughly
their answers are vague, generic and usually seem to come down to advising you to buy cubase or pro tools

Yeah. With this letter it's almost like someones testing they're T-knowledgeability. Like "Hey I'm looking for [TRACKTION] any suggestions?" - "Yeah dude - Cubase and pro-tools can do the things your after if you work at them"spaceman wrote:Karbon L. I just realised, BOC could be mistaken for meaning Blue Oyster Cult.
