Some folks are helping me test the latest RC right now. If anyone else is interested in kicking the tires, let me know.
The 64 bit build built with a modern compiler from 2017 runs a bit slower than the 32 bit build built with an ancient compiler from 1998. I did have to remove the 32 bit assembly optimizations. It's still reasonably quick, though.
When porting, some pretty serious bugs were discovered and fixed. An uninitialized delay buffer was possibly starting f4 in an overloaded state. This could cascade into the follower modulator going nan and taking out the lfo in a crashy sort of way. not cool. Debug builds have smoke detectors for that sort of nonsense now, and this is all fixed in the new RC. It looks like the most stable Atlantis in years.

Thank you very much for reviving Atlantis and bringing it to the 64bit world.Jeremy Evers wrote: ↑Fri Dec 14, 2018 9:39 pm[...]

the 'brownsound' skin from 2009 has greenish buttons... it would be pretty easy to modify that and make them red in the off state. you could do it with paint.net or whatever in minutes.
you can download a collection of skins by LimeFlavour, ENV1, and myself here:
http://jeremyevers.com/atlantis/
I have 'add skin installation instructions' on the todo list, but basically- make a folder called skins inside the atlantis data folder (which is shown in the config dialog) and put them in there. next time you start atlantis it should find them. calling the folder anything but skins will just make you sad.
as for the next build, the excellent testers have found some more things for me to fix before it hits the streets, but so far so good...

I assume there's no plan for a Mac version, is there? As Hanzel Meyzers mentioned back in 2014, if using VSTGUI or some cross-platform toolkit, I might be able to help with a port, too.

Hi Jeremy,
I was quite astonished to find this old thread revived and that both the synth and the programmer are still available.
I've posted an update over at the One Synth Challenge #118 thread, check out here. Some people immediatley rememberd your synth...seem like you did an impressive job. viewtopic.php?p=7256538#p7256538
May be we can give it a ride on one of the next OSC, to help you test your new fixes. Please drop a note for instance to user @Richard Semper who is "co-manager" for OSC.

Atlantis is one of those Windows-only plugin wonders I miss the most since switching to Mac, would love to see it ported someday

Yea, I always wanted to use it for a One Synth Challenge. I've been helping get Surge tested and some misc. fixes implemented on Mac lately, so depending on Jeremy's openness to it and technologies used, it could be a possibility...nitedwella wrote: ↑Sun Dec 16, 2018 11:03 pm Atlantis is one of those Windows-only plugin wonders I miss the most since switching to Mac, would love to see it ported someday
