Most everyone else is discounting their products, yes, but that's because they're charging $150 to $350 for products of the same quality as Cytomic sells for $99.
Lol. Most everyone else? :o
Who are all these developers charging between $150 to $350 for filters and compressors? There are plenty of great compressor and filter plugins for less than $150-$350.

Post

A bit of hyperbole there with "most everyone else." Seems like it some days with the number of specials I see advertised. And the way some people complain about how expensive a product is when it comes out at $150 and they reference Waves' selling on special for $29. Waves, incidentally, being one of those companies who have compressors and filters at $150 and higher (for anyone inclined to buy at full price rather than waiting for an inevitable sale.)

My point was, Cytomic's plugins are a) not especially expensive, b) excellent quality, and c) they technically do give discounts to people who buy more than one plugin.

Fleer wrote: Sun Feb 24, 2019 1:21 am No, they indeed added Auto-Tune ($99) on top. Melodyne’s still included as well.
Do you need ilok (physical/software) for their version of AutoTune and can it be used as a separate plugin (in other DAWs) ?
Don’t know, haven’t tried yet.

It's this version and it doesn't use a USB dongle:

Audio Plugin Deals wrote: Fri Feb 22, 2019 11:02 am For a limited time, get Memory-V by IK Multimedia FREE!

Originally $49.99, now available FREE for a limited time only. This is one deal you should not miss!

Memory-V is based on the classic 18-oscillator monster analog polysynth, the legendary Memorymoog. Manufactured from 1981 to 1985, it’s often described as six Minimoogs in one unit! Its timbral palette is nothing short of impressive, capable of producing a huge variety of sounds including strings, brasses, pads, flutes as well as more percussive sounds.

Offer ends March 7th
Wonderful freebie :tu:
Thanks, APD, you guys lured me in big time with Emotional Cello and Rhapsody Orchestral Percussion. This freebie is the icing on the cake for me.
And they even give full shop dollars based on the in cart price! :o :hihi:

No, really. Great deal. Speaking of shop dollars, I have a lot of them and only recently realized I should be using them on gift cards. I could have got Xosphere for only $60 when it was on sale for $99. I could get Drum Fury for that amount also if I wanted it. If I hadn't already got all the 8Dio drums.
Are these gift cards that you can use at the APD website, or at the separate companies' website?
I think they are talking about the Sample Logic $50 gift card which can be had for $30 with $20 worth of reward dollars. I've never tried to use more than one at a time. The disclaimer on the APD page says that you can only use one gift card at a time. That being said, if you could use multiple cards, then you could spend $60 (2 x $30) to get $100 worth of gift cards (or in other words 40% off a $100 purchase).
Okay, I missed that part. I figured it would be like any other gift card where you could use more than one to make a purchase. Still not bad on top of a sales price. But not as good as if you could use multiple ones on a purchase.

However, it's not showing up in Native Access yet. There's some delay depositing it.
There's also new updates for Maschine and Komplete Kontrol. KK is now compatible with any midi controllers.

I've no idea what the hell is happening on your end, but I can confidently say that more than 3 Memory-V patches load correctly; I'm able to easily load every single Memory-V patch available. You may need to do a re-install.
With the video explanation from APD, it's now clear what to do. Great freebie!

Hi Eric, ordered the Softube Mutable Instruments Rings this morning (GMT) and still not had a registration code, are you waiting on more licenses or is there a bit of a backlog?

Post

K-Devices have released their 1st VST/AU/AAX Plugins and in my opinion, they're exceptional.

Cytomic's products are pretty limited in what they can do. I think $99 is about right for most of them. Maybe even a bit on the pricey side (not sure if i would shell out $99 for a filter...).

Everyone should of course decide for themselves what a plugin is worth to them.

I'd also not pay $99 for just a filter. The Drop isn't "just" anything, though, in my opinion. It's a device capable of quite a lot more than basic filtering. And in a world where a transient shaper can easily cost the same or more...

Most plugins are "limited." Compressors compress. Distortion units distort. EQs EQ. It's not about how many things it does, it's about how well it does what it does. And, ultimately, is it worth the money to you personally to have something which does that thing that well.

I agree that $99 is about right. So does Cytomic.
