Kontour and Prism didn't reach success, back to basics.

Kontour was basically a phase modulation synth with an advanced feedback routing , and prism used a modal bank of bandpass filters ( primary modal bank module ) for acoustic modelling .
Altough these are fine instruments , these are not new synthesis methods

Does anyone know if Massive X uses layering in its sound creation. IE multiple layers of the sound perimeters on the interface like Dune2/3?

10+ years later and Massive is still the perfect bread and butter synth, IMO. I believe they won't catch lightning in a bottle twice. But will be interesting to see.

I wouldn't count them out! I actually have high hopes for this one. It will be big like the first massive or sylenth, spire, etc!

Massive x lab update just out. Osc section. Looks like huge possibilities but no mention of superwaves. Disappointing.

ART Mode -One of the most interesting modes is ART (Artificial Resonance Technology). It uses hard-sync and some clever processing to create something very similar to a high resonating bandpass filter. It doesn’t aim to be a hyper-realistic analog filter clone – instead, it pushes into artificial filter territory that analog filters can’t reach. Meanwhile, a Body control lets you dial bass back in, allowing highly resonant sounds that don’t lose their bass energy.

Gorilla mode. Suited to simple wavetables with minimal spectral complexity, such as a triangle, it’s vulgar and aggressive, specializing in over-the-top sounds.
