I don't see any error in the log file. Anyway, good that you found a solution.

M8.0.65 is available on http://www.mutools.com/mulab/app-patch/

What's changed:
  • Fixed a recent new crash bug when clicking the main EDIT button when no part was selected.
  • Fixed a couple of issues when using stretched envelope parts.
  • Improved the Rewind-Forward functions:

There now is a standard Rewind-Forward and a Fast Rewind-Forward.
The standard RF steps per composition grid. If no active grid or in a part editor it steps per beat.
The Fast RF only steps to the marker positions and the start of the first selected part (if any).
Both the standard and Fast RF can be put under a shortcut.

Simply clicking the RF buttons in the transport panel does a standard RF, when also holding [Shift] it does a fast RF.
You can reverse that behavior via the "Standard Rewind-Forward = Fast" preference.
On top of that you can also use shortcuts to any of the "Goto..." functions, eg Goto Composition Start.

I'd like to have another colour option, which makes things clearer imho, would be to remove the colouring from the track headers, like this:
Image 001.png

...and simply have a border around the selected track. Then just have a colour option for the track name and maybe a second option to change the text colour for the selected track, like this:
Image 001-2.png

This would mean three additional colour options:
1. Track header background
2. Selected track border
3. Selected track text

You could expand on this but I think this would be enough.

Does anyone else like the idea? It's simply easier to read a list of tracks without all the separate tracks graphics making it appear quite so packed. I expect this would help those with poor eyesight too. Perhaps the option to have this or the current, rather than this replace the current, so to please everyone ;)

EDIT: Looking at it again, it may be easier to add option to colour unfocused Racks and just the text for unselected and selected. Without lightening the colour of unselected tracks, or it goes against the point of colouring them. That would solve the "issue."
Sorry Raph, I suggested it first :hihi: :hyper: :tu:
Well, maybe half mine!

Thanks for the update Jo :tu:

About the Rew/Ff change. It seems slower than it was previously. I don't know what changes you made to it. The shortcuts I had assigned to them gave a warning at startup that these shortcuts were assigned to unknown functions.

Are they simply used in a single way? ie, L-click to Rew/Ff? Or are there other functions available via hotkeys?
I think if you plan on keeping it like this, that's fine, but R-click would enhance it by giving users a choice for faster Rew/Ff speed.

Also, double click Rew to send to start would be useful too.

EDIT: I just found the Ctrl-click to go to start, but double click is faster as ti doesn't rely on using your other hand to locate the correct key.

Some functions have been renamed and so existing shortcuts to the old functions do not work anymore and that's what the alert tells you. Solution is to make new shortcuts to the new functions.

I expected that was the case. Thanks for the advice tho :tu:

I'm a Mux user rather than Mulab but I couldn't resist giving M8 a spin. The spectral timestretch sounds really good, very high quality. The granular will be useful too for certain things so I'm very impressed with what you have done.
I will eagerly (but patiently) wait for Mux 8 and hope that there will be a default option to save samples with daw project file or collate in daw folder. I know this is currently possible but it is very fiddly and needs resetting every time you swap samples. Having a default toggle option would be extremely useful. Tal sampler has this and I'm pretty reliant on it these days.
