Moot point. If Synthmaster ONE were to go Open Source and free now, would we still hold it above Surge? Yes we would. The UI is a lot more intuitive and easy to use than Surge. Workflow is really fast.exmatproton wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2019 7:16 pm First point; it is free now. What is probably the best value synth out there? my answer; Surge.
Firstly, SM ONE as well as SM 2.9 are rock stable for me on Reaper as well as a friend who is an FL user with weaker specs than you. So I don't know what the issue might be at your end. Maybe you're an outlier?Second point; the whole thread talks about it if it is one of the best valued synths out there. To me, and i can ventilate that here, it is not. Not by a long shot. It is, again, in my case, very buggy. An alternative is Surge.
Secondly, the thread is titled, "Synthmaster, is it worth it?" The answer is "Yes, it is". No one asked for alternatives. In fact, the OP eve bought and liked it. Don't know what's your point still.
Don't misunderstand me. I really like Surge, I'm using it for the One Synth Challenge and I'm thoroughly enjoying it and its power. But there is no real comparison. You're an outlier. Maybe Surge has more value to you than SM One. That's fine Not for the rest of us.
