Holistic! but I said that already. :hihi: 8) :hihi: 8)
Huh? The whole "holistic experience" of using Reason is the exact thing that makes it unique and makes people gravitate towards it (the rack, the sequencer, its mixer). Or are you just talking about it not supporting 4K/high dpi displays? If so, then yeah - totally agree! :hihi: :hihi:

that the #1 thing they need to attend to, is this whole f**k*n GUI issue!

Waddaya guys say? :hihi: It covers everything...all the complaints, the crap-ola...
In relation to Europa? I get some people don't like the colour but as a GUI it's pretty good.

Yes but none of that applies to Europa per se, if anything it is a sign that Props are experimenting with alternative approaches to GUI and workflow (particularly in relation to higher res screens).

uh... the VST version, hmmm... well, can't see a "Transfer License" option on that one either, so... yeah, I guess the same NFR'ish policy applies to Europa VST.
Did you buy the VST separately or did you get it free with Reason? It’s definitely NFR if you got it free with Reason.

Ah ok, that explains it. I got the VST with the RE version in Reason

I was hoping Props might be sensible and allow VST transfer like Reason if necessary. But no, it's definitely NFR even if you buy it...I emailed support to ask them because I couldn't find the information on their website.

That’s very silly. But I guess there’s nothing stopping you from just giving your account password away.

Well, to clarify here. I was basically talking about Reason in general, the need to modernize the GUI at every angle. Colours, fonts, and modern graphics considerations, very likely vector resizing.

And this is an idea: It would be fabulous if the modular area had a second view, very similar to MuLab's...flat, sensible, and where a user could clearly see all the connections because it is all plainly there, represented by modules, wires and nodes.

Of course, the more experienced Reason user, the afficianados, the freak headz / tweakheadz... :hihi: :hihi:

...well, they could keep doin' what they have been doin', and that is to simply "flip the rack", and enjoy all that clutter, I mean...all those cables!!! 8)

Oh my, please, do not. The Reason has a very good combination of workflow and visual style\colors in general. Don't need another style "upgrade" like Studio One 2 to 3-4, it may have similar sad result. I hope the propellerheads will enough wisdom keep the best what they have.

About resize, on 27 monitor with resolution 2560x1440 i has no any problem with details in Reason UI. Everything is perfectly visible.

The only point I can partly agree with is the fonts. In some places (not everywhere) they can be difficult to read. Could add font customization in preferences for example.
ADDED In some places i meant user labels on devices in left side, this font.

I’m not saying Europa is a bad synth, but those sounds sound nothing like the synths they’re trying to emulate. Nothing at all.

What Propellerhead needs to do is turn reason racks into a VST.. so you can add any rack including all propellerhead specific tools as a VST..in any DAW..

I love the racks in propellerhead
(Also love the mixer)
But i can not live with their sequencer. Its just not up to my needs (but then i am spoiled on my mac)

Except the fact that if Props notice it, they'll shut down the account :hihi:

:ud:

All of the Reason internal device sound pretty soft synth-y (with that i mean, like, typical soft synths 15 years ago). I don't think that PH isn't capable, or you can't work with the synths anyway, but, ressource friendliness always seems to have been a major consideration, and, you only get that far with it.

I recently tried out Serum, and, it's pretty apparent how much oversampling makes a difference, when you activate the higher quality levels in Serum. The downside being that it can bring down your CPU, of course.

I get that, but why not leave it up to the user, like Diversion or Diva does?
