To be fair, Waves offer the whole pile in a bundle for $89. I think even I, who have yet to set up a single multi-parameter, could duplicate everything those One Knobs do using MCompressor, MEqualizer, and MConvolverEZ. Unregistered.
I can think of a use for most of those One Knobs, which is live EDM performance. Each of them mapped to a knob on a controller. You could do the same thing and more with the three Melda plugs I listed, but these are already set up.
But I doubt even that would make more users use the m plugins
