Very likely, yes. This is most probably done with the magic of FFTs, averaging things in the frequency domain. Comes down to the same thing in the end. Harmonics mode almost certainly feeds an inverse FFT to get the resultant waveform. How's it differ from Wave-knob modulation, and how exactly to achieve it with the available controls in any of the WT module panels (a pasted example would be great!)?

I think he/she just means loading two OSCs and volume crossfading between them. The relative level means the transition curve from one to the other.
