A bit OT - but I'm just on the verge of updating my computer to Mojave. Could you please expand a bit on why Mojave was bad for you? I usually keep my system one OS generation from the latest and that have kept my headaches down to almost zero. But one might think that Mojave would be quite free of issues by now?

Some combinations of app/plug-in, GPU and external monitor run excessively slow. Apple does nothing to fix it.

Exactly! I have a brand new Cinema Display, and it’s practically useless. Also causes the laptop to heat up “just because.”

Have you tried the colour profile? Made a big difference here...

I’m not at my computer at the moment, but I absolutely will. I’ll get back with an update once I do. Thank you!

Excited to try these out, also excited that there might be a fix for this that could be implemented elsewhere (I'm especially thinking of Reaper, which suffers hugely from GUI sluggishness on Macs with 5K screens)

No change....damn.

Is there any way to pinpoint which Macs have these problems? Ones with integrated graphics or is it completely random?

Seems pretty random. Here, new i7 Mac Mini has it, Old 15inch Mac Book doesn't.

Look, I think it's about time we abandon Apple products. They've been bad for us this whole time. Some of us knew all along, but at some point we all have to admit we were duped, by marketers, again. Though since we've all grown up now and can see this, I think we're ready to stand up for ourselves (for a change) and say 'no more!' No more Apple. Apple is crapple. Cook is a schnook. The board had Steve killed. We're done. No more.

Thank you. But honestly, I am perfectly capable of forming my own opinions and making my own decisions.

From our next beta on you'll be fine with out stuff. It performs better than ever before.

The new Mac Minis are beasts. We have several in the office and some of us have them privately. Only one of them has had an issue (wrong screen...), and only with our stuff.

I'm just having fun, don't mind me.

Here's a compendium though by mr. leftly-copy-left, whom I admire, to a degree: https://stallman.org/apple.html
It's full of laughs, if you're up for it.
