Hiya!
Have done a search on this, but didn't really come up with anything...
I need an external audio editor to use with Tracktion - I am using Cool Edit at the moment, but I can only use the MME drivers with my M-Audio Duo card.
I need something with ASIO so I can switch between with out having to reset drivers each time round. What's good?
Ta!

Heheh...
Yeah, I got tracktion. Maybe I am missing something, but the audio editing sucks...
Thanks for the advice tingle, but it needs to be free tho really. Just bought Tracktion and Fruity Loops, (and numerous other guitar related articles) so I am skint.

£25 not too much. Eat rice for a week.
Here's another option, not sure if it is ASIO:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/about.php
or, there's a whole heap to choose from here:
http://www.sonicspot.com/sampleeditors.html

Well I was going to suggest Kristal Audio Engine but I can't access the site today - hope it's only temporarily down. It's free, does ASIO and is expandable (hosts VST's).

If it is defunct I'm sure there are plenty of folks here who have a copy
edit - download links on Simtel:

Heh, i sure don't! I do work full time. But there are loads of good free apps out there, why not use them? On the other hand, there are no free guitars, speakers, amps, or indeed, lunches!sicklecell666 wrote:yeah, provided you don't have any bills at all or any need to feed yourself for at least TWO weeks..How many ppl have that kind of luxury?rpc9943 wrote:freaking work 1 month at mcdonalds and buy Adobe Audition....

kristal has nice sound. just make sure you grab good looking plugs (or no-gui versions) to match it's interface.
