Hiya!

Have done a search on this, but didn't really come up with anything...

I need an external audio editor to use with Tracktion - I am using Cool Edit at the moment, but I can only use the MME drivers with my M-Audio Duo card.

I need something with ASIO so I can switch between with out having to reset drivers each time round. What's good?

Ta!

Heheh...

Yeah, I got tracktion. Maybe I am missing something, but the audio editing sucks...

Thanks for the advice tingle, but it needs to be free tho really. Just bought Tracktion and Fruity Loops, (and numerous other guitar related articles) so I am skint.

£25 not too much. Eat rice for a week. :)

Here's another option, not sure if it is ASIO:

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/about.php

or, there's a whole heap to choose from here:

Well I was going to suggest Kristal Audio Engine but I can't access the site today - hope it's only temporarily down. It's free, does ASIO and is expandable (hosts VST's).

If it is defunct I'm sure there are plenty of folks here who have a copy ;)

Heh, i sure don't! I do work full time. But there are loads of good free apps out there, why not use them? On the other hand, there are no free guitars, speakers, amps, or indeed, lunches!

Kristal looks good, thanks for the word. Will come back with a review.

kristal has nice sound. just make sure you grab good looking plugs (or no-gui versions) to match it's interface.

Isn't kristal a host and not an audio editor?
