I'm fine with how the GUI looks in the visual aesthetic sense... It is usability that is not so great.chk071 wrote: Fri Jul 05, 2019 11:08 am
Well, the GUI looks pretty sterile, that's true. Frankly, though, i don't make music with the eyes. It's functional, and it does the job. It's not very self-explanatory, though. WTH is "Int on" and "Int off", for example? Or Gorilla mode. Still have to decipher the Performer section as well, as i never used that in Massive 1. Guess i'll have to wait for the manual.
As just one example, if I want to check and see all the parameters that Macro 1 might be modulating, I have to go through all the various tabs to look and see i there is a '1' as a modulation source. That can be as many as 12 different tabs down in the modulator section and up top checking each of the 3 utility modules and 3 FX adds 6 more tabs. That is 18 tabs total (each has possible mod targets) just to check to see all the possible modulation targets of a macro or other modulator.
There is a visual cue when an envelope is a mod source in that the crosshair icon is blue instead of grey. But there are no visual cues to indicate the presence of mod targets on a currently not visible tab. The only way to determine this is to tab by tab view each one.
