is it something to do perhaps with these two programmes being on the soft elicenser (whereas youur cubase would be on the dongle). Just something to consider.

I ended up picking that one up. (They had me at "Armin van Buuren inspired" I have to admit.) It is what you would expect it is. Lots of content with varying quality and usability.mgw38 wrote: Thu Sep 05, 2019 2:19 pmDemo video looks interesting. Seems to have a huge amount of content. If this style is your thing you probably can't go wrong at that price.Fleer wrote: Thu Sep 05, 2019 2:09 pmAnyone got this yet? Wondering how much this lives up to the Tomorrowland buzzAudio Plugin Deals wrote: Thu Sep 05, 2019 7:21 am For just $99.99 (instead of $599.99), get TOMORROWLAND 2 – Elixir of Stars by Design My Beat![]()
After going through many of the instruments I honestly don't really get the "inspired" part as most of the instruments sound fairly generic. It feels a bit like they had created a bunch of sounds first and then figured out what artists these sounds would fit. Certainly not as "inspired" as one would hope. But there are a couple of nice ones in there. Not the worst purchase I ever made. I think $100 is about what it is worth. I would be upset if I had paid more than that.
From what I can tell the sampling is mediocre. Each instrument is built from 11 samples and sometimes they don't even match completely. There are a couple of instruments where going from one octave to the next creates a somewhat different sound. Most of the instruments are ok though. And you can access all the samples directly. So you do not have to use Kontakt, which is definitely a plus. The Kontakt interface is mainly for show anyway. Close to no functionality.
What saves this somewhat are the drum samples. They are actually very nice and usable and do fit the style of the respective artists. They are provided as WAV files. I might actually throw out all the Kontakt instruments (82Gigs!) and just keep the drum samples.
The purchase itself ended up being more convoluted than usual. You get a coupon that you are supposed to use at the Design My Beats site. But that site throws pop ups at you like a 90s porn site which is hugely annoying. I also could not access my purchase at first. Turns out it does not like the Safari browser, with Google Chrome everything worked. The download is a 60G zip file from a Google drive.
It is possible that I end up regretting that purchase at some point in time (which very rarely ever happens) but at the moment I am somewhat ok with it. This could become my go-to drum sample library which would be good enough for me.

Thanks for taking the hit MGW38!
From what you are saying, I really wouldn't like it. I have so many loop libraries I never ever use. Maybe someday I will get one of those loop organizers and make them useful. Last I checked, the good one was for Mac only. There is an online one that I am not sure I trust to run through my machine. Some day I will get a round to it....

I tried _a_lot_ of sample library organizers and the only one I found actually useful so far is Samplism by Audio Helper Project. This one is Mac only.
Sononym would be more advanced in terms of management but the AI makes is super sloooooooooow.
Loopcloud 5 is promising though.

Yeah, I didn't remember which it was because once I saw OSX only, I forgot about it. I think it may have one of the two above. Though Mixed in Key keeps popping in my head. But I'm not sure that organizes the loops or not.kingryan wrote: Fri Sep 06, 2019 7:21 pmAudioFinder may be old but still worth checking out.martinjuenke wrote: Fri Sep 06, 2019 5:08 pmThanks, will check them out.mgw38 wrote: Fri Sep 06, 2019 5:08 pmI tried _a_lot_ of sample library organizers and the only one I found actually useful so far is Samplism by Audio Helper Project. Only the Ace reduction from $85 to $59 is decent. The rest are pretty low discounts for a sale (15%-ish) though I don't know when u-he are having their next half off type sale, if ever.
Some decent drops on the Eventide side though with Instant Phaser and Blackhole reverb for $29 and TVerb and SP2016 both at $49

In fact I just bought both the Tverb and SP2016 for $88 with the Summer coupon code. I hate to think how many damned reverbs I own now. I feel I should chain them all together one day.

The free Loopcloud is a very good sample manager and allows playback in key and tempo with drag and drop export of results. Its better than the Media Bay in Cubase. Loopcloud 5 seems to be the front end for their subscription service...you'll pay forevermgw38 wrote: Fri Sep 06, 2019 5:08 pmI tried _a_lot_ of sample library organizers and the only one I found actually useful so far is Samplism by Audio Helper Project. I paid for a couple of Eventide licenses from AudioDeluxe several hours ago and still getting the message
"License Delivery Pending"
in my account.
Anyone know how long they normally take? Have I had it for this weekend or is there still a chance I'll get them tomorrow?
