If you have any current WUP plugins, then update to latest versions on the website first then it happens in Waves Central.
i'm trying that now thanks. i have to ask, what was the point of updating through waves central then? i have a strong feeling i'm about to wind up with a complete clusterfuck on my hd.

It really works well to have both 10 and 11 with the new waves central. I expected a big mess but it worked flawlessly to my surprise.
The same here on my main machine (MacPro with High Sierra): Waves V9, V10 and V11 all work fine so far. Upgrading was easy too.
Is this really the case, i.e. the V9 doesn’t require a separate offline file?
According to the FAQ, V9 will need the offline installer.
V10 instead is managed and installed from the new WavesCentral (as well as V11), I previously reinstalled a couple V10 plugins and it worked fine.

I can definitely vouch for the issue with the Puigtec EQ's. Using the VST3 version eliminated the problem for me.
nice to know. thanks

How the hell are they forcing you to WUP? I'm not updating and don't feel forced to at all.

Don't be surprised then if you see black helicopters silently hovering behind your apartment window at night.

update: i have no idea how that worked so don't ask, i logged into my online account, it told me i couldn't update my plugs, then i looked at my plugs in my account, and they were all under wup, so i went to the "update options" and saw v11's sitting there, so i started waves central while logged into my account, and it had my v11's as installs, so installed them, i saw no options for cleaning up v10's, i was not given that option, so i now have v10, and v11 double installs on my hd. dumbest chit i've ever seen. i'm going to move my licenses to the mysterious "cloud", delete anything that says v10, then re authorize everything. have a nice day.

update/update:

in waves central settings there is an option to clear duplicate plugins and clear cache. it did not clear duplicates plugins. all version 10's are still on my hard drive. it's like none of this has any purpose at all.

I'm tell'n 'ya, your best bet is to avoid Waves and migrate to another dev. You'll end up with better audio products too!

What do you mean with "offline file"? I'm on Macs and the WaveShells are all together in the plug in folders and get independently scanned by the DAWs etc.

This is nonsense. Waves plug ins are important and proven tools for many pros, including me.

Nevermind the influencer stuff. ;)

A positive remark is not every time an influencer statement. It is true that I got my first Waves plug in (L1) as a gift from the founder of Waves. Later they asked me to check their stuff, sent me what I needed and some ideas I had were implemented. But I stopped the contact etc. in 2001 - from then I payed for my Waves stuff and WUP, if necessary, like any other customer.
Waves plug ins played an important role in my productions and still do.

I was just determining, whether it would be reasonable to upgrade some of my plugins, instead of buying WUP coverage. So far, the upgrade options in my account are completely erratic. So after some poking around, I sent the following mail to the sales team:
I was looking into my upgrade options, especially for the Broadcast & Production Bundle. The prices I get shown however don't make any sense to me at all. I own the following included plugins:

RBass
Sibilance
V-Comp, V-EQ3, V-EQ4
VU Meter
WLM Plus

Rbass actually increases the price for the whole bundle to $335,56, which makes it more expensive than buying outright.
Sibilance does not show the upgrade option at all.
Upgrading from V-Series alone shows a discount of $18,73
Upgrading from VU-Meter alone shows a discount of $11,12
Upgrading from WLM Plus alone shows a discount of $25,12
But If I check V-Series, VU Meter & WLM Plus I only get a total discount of $36,56.

Could you please look into this? I would also appreciate it, if you could shed some light on what actually determines the individual upgrade prices.

Thank you & best regards
I'm curious, what they'll reply :borg:
