I'm in that position, having picked them all up at about $30 each when they have sporadic sales, and will now wait for the next edition of Anthology as there's not much I haven't got that I'm lusting after.

I only have a few Soundtoys and they're great so definitely got my fingers crossed for a bargain bundle upgrade deal in November.

For what it's worth I think the Eventide effects are pretty different from the Soundtoys ones. The Soundtoys are more idiosyncratic and the Eventide ones more 'that' studio sound if you know what I mean.
Thank you for that. Good to know. SoundToys are great imho. I've had the full suite for years now; and theu do most of what I want with a few other effects; or my own coded plugins here and there.

Absolutely know what you mean with regards to "that" sound. Won't knock Eventide at all; the hardware is awesome. I just I don't need all those effects / would be overkill for me. Mainly interested in the H3000 Factory probably.

My upgrade to Anthology XI was $1... :D
That is a bargain of an upgrade; and silly money for a great collection.

The $1 upgrade; well.. 'nuff said. Get everyone on a consistent platform ;)

All future loyalty vouchers will have a minimum order value attached to them, as we are seeing way too many people (ab-)using them in ways that they were never intended for. We see users selling them, trading them, using multiple vouchers from various users in one account within a month, etc. Obviously, this is something we cannot accept."

"The minimum spend for the popular $25 loyalty voucher for example will be $32, so you can even still use them to activate 2 or more used licenses you may buy somewhere, or for any $39.99 deal and more."

So if they have another $49 flash sale on just one item... I won't be able to use my $50 voucher without buying something else. And the minimum non-sale price is $19 for another copy of Bx_Tuner. So someone with the $25 voucher would pay $24, and with the $50 voucher $19....

If it's a $29 flash sale, $25 voucher would require $19. $50 might be able to add a $29 non-sale item (another copy of Sandman) for total of $8, depending on the $50 voucher minimum.
As if they were clueless about this.
Talking about PA, whether you want to call them on their mystical amount of BS or you want to show how much of their their kool-aid you have had already, is nothing but a waste of time.
Here I am, I just wasted almost a minute of my life...

They caught me with the Townhouse Compressor. At first I thought it had nice character and the sale + voucher that was going on lured me in. Now that I've lived with it for a little while, I realize that "character" is just obnoxious distortion.

Not understanding how your own loyality scheme can be (ab-)used seems not believable to me. My guess is that the bait-and-switch marketing did not work out as calculated by the bean counters.

And as a side note I feel slightly offended when the company head poses with quite ungodly hand signs at motorsport events. This guy is wrong in so many ways

Ungodly? Did he do one of these semi-secret Freemason signs?

No. It was "only" dual horns. Some people say its a lovely goat. Other people say otherwise

Don't go to any metal gigs whatever you do. And NEVER play the music backwards.

Yes, if that throws you off you definitely need to avoid metal gigs.

Thanks for all your care about my salvation :hihi: I do understand that everyone uses symbolism for this or that. I have been at metal events and no goats have been harmed :D

Good point, Uncle E.

TBH I'm surprised the PA unrestricted voucher scheme lasted as long as it did. Getting free/supercheap plugins every month with my loyalty voucher almost felt like stealing and always struck me as an unsustainable business model. I have nothing against PA and their members, and hope their new model works for them. Well, except for Dirk, who seems like kind of an ass, but that's just my vague impression. :D

I beg to disaggre :-)

I was there to, its PA that have actually been stealing, if we should use that word, "stealing",..

Their plugs are MOSLTY in the relatively boring end, like yet another EQ, or Compressor, things of wich we are already feed so we must throw up, not much unique to be found in that shop, and their default prices are just rediculess high. The giveaway, free, or reduced prices is more on par to the actual value of their plugs in best case. Their markting was kind aggressive cirkus targeting mostly people with GAS, who could not pass a good offer, or a giveaway,.. without being trapped

Not so serious either is when plugs are undocumented, like BX_Delay, not even a short manual,..

Insteadt of focusing on abuse from customers, perhaps they should look in the mirror insteadt, and start ask questions about there own professionality, and the general lack of substance in their own product-line.

From talking to collegs, and from my own experince, it seems like PA plugs are the ones most likely to sit unused in your plugin-folder collecting dust after a short time, together with Nomads plugs :-)

Its OK not to ask to much, when you don't deliver to much,.... :-)
