I am working on a synth built within MSoundFactory that's inspired by the per-voice variation in the Oberheim 8 Voice.
For reference:
I am very happy to see the per-voice architecture within MSoundFactory, as it is the cornerstone of such a synth
Over the last few weeks I've been plugging away, setting up the modulators and mutiparameter mapping, when tonight I realized that the "Random on Note" special modulator is not a per-voice modulator, but instead is a global modulator.
This leads to situations, where the triggering of a new voice modulates any voices before it that are still being held.
Here is a quick demo of what I'm talking about:
As I mentioned in the vid, I was able to craft a workaround by using a very slow Per-Voice LFO and Modulating the initial phase with a Random On-note modulator, but this seems like a kinda odd work-around.
Is there setting somewhere that I'm missing that will make the Random on Note modulator work on a Per-Voice basis? Is there some other way to approach this that I'm not thinking of
Anyway, thanks for building this awesome synth, I'm having lots of fun with it!
