When that is released will the installer remove the "old" kernels from the Windows folder automatically?MeldaProduction wrote:Hi Lorenz,

His installers always have a quick and a deep clean-up function (no other company has that and this is very thought through and a nice feature if I think about how complicated it sometimes is to really cleanup a previous installation + it´s left-overs) as I saw, so I am pretty sure it will remove it!

Yes, everything is so well thought out in his products, from start to end. Will be a customer soon too after having trialed all this Melda madness
Just amazing, I have to say, it´s the "Linux" of plug-ins, just love it

As I´ve been updating my free plugins from you to 12.08 (thanks again for that!), it seems you´ve solved this now by putting the two main DLLs to C:\ProgramData\MeldaProduction\LIB, great! But why is it still creating that odd "SecureLib" folder with obscure file names that all start with "system-random-number" directly in C:\Windows\SecureLib ? Seems a little odd to me and against my German "like to have it all clean" mentality to put something there, and that folder also gets lost during in-place upgrades anyway. Just wonderingMeldaProduction wrote: Sat Mar 10, 2018 7:14 pm Hi Lorenz,

jknesl: That's Apple's bug starting with OSX High sierra, there's some way to fix it, but no idea. Please use the contact form, Luke will help you with that.
Lorenz: That folder is part of the copy protection. If it cannot be created, it actually won't mind, but you know how it is with hackers these days
. Not that it would help

Hmm, yes, I understand, but as I am monitoring every installation, I can tell you that yours are the only plugins putting something directly into the Windows directory - not a great practice for a "fanatic German", but I understand

Yes, it's a bit obscure and could probably be removed... On most Win10 the system doesn't allow the plugins to write in there anyways...

Yea, better stick to obscure processing for the DSP only, that´s what you do best

Hey, sorry for bumping, but probably my problem has to do with all of this.
I updated to W10 version 1909 a few days ago (probably relevant here), and today I wanted to test some Melda plugins and install my licensed MWaveshaperMB too, but Reaper is unable to show them. I have tried with the latest 13.06 and 14.00b installers, ran as normal and administrator (although I think it always runs as admin), rebooted the PC, ran Reaper as admin and normal, reinstalled several times... No luck. They don't show in Reaper (probably because they don't load correctly).
Also I have just tried to boot them in Renoise (I don't use plugins in Renoise but I was just curious as whether they worked or not), MWaveshaperMB shows up but fails to initialize (probably a Renoise plugin index leftover from previous installations), and the two demos I have installed (MGranularMB and MVocoder) show up as 32bit plugins. They work! But the 64bit versions do not show up.
There seems to be no Melda audio kernel of any kind at C:\Windows, so... I think we have new permissions problems. A pity because I wanted to test and probably buy these two (I need at least a vocoder, and another sound mangler...). But I hope I can help!

The kernel has been moved away, because some people didn't like that
. Anyways please use luke@meldaproduction.com or the contact form on our site. And please install the newest 14.00 release.
