Well it's straight up FRAUD to be honest.krabbencutter wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 12:06 amTheir management & marketing is an absolute nightmare imho. It's bullsh*t like this, that makes me completely question wtf is going wrong at Waves.profaudio wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2019 8:28 pmNo it wasn't. It was $164 just before the new plugin release - and it was $164 after inc. the new plugin. Also their "X number of units left at this price" is a complete LIE.everyPlugin.com wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2019 6:28 pmThe AR collection price was raised after the Saturator/MDMX release.VincentVega wrote: ...I bought the Abbey Road Collection just two days before the Saturator release and I must pay an upgrade if I want to have it
However the upgrade price is about ½ of the full raise.
"18 units available at this price", all units sold, add another 30 at the same price, all sold add another 100, add another 130, etc.
COMPLETE [***INTENTIONAL***] LIE IN ORDER TO GET PEOPLE TO BUY IT QUICKLY.
Then in the end it has cost me [personally, and I'm sure many others] the chance to wait until the end of the sales (which I usually do) for more time to consider my purchase, which resulted in the loss of their new plugin which was added to the same bundle for the same price.A fraud is an intentionally false representation made with the intent to mislead the listener, and that the listener relied on "to her detriment."

If I'm truly honest, the word I would use to describe it is "meh". It's interesting but it's another of my plugins gathering dust. If you want vinyl, you can't go wrong with the Izotope one.

cprompt wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 9:39 amOf that list, Chambers is probably the best one. The compressors are just more compressors floating in a sea of compressors. Aphex is a one trick pony (and the high end that Saturator gives is much nicer than Aphex) and NLS, well I've had that for a couple of years and now it just gathers dust. I never found it did much for me.LoveEnigma18 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2019 3:31 pmAny suggestions from the below:
CLA-76
CLA-2A
CLA-3A
L2 Ultramaximizer
L3 Multimaximizer
Aphex Vintage Aural Exciter
Abbey Road Chambers
NLS Non-Linear Summer
Thanks, cprompt and Fleer.
AR Chambers indeed sounds nice, but it seems a bit difficult to dial in and has quite a significant CPU hit, even on my Intel Core i7-7700, 4 GHz CPU, which is why I was thinking about Plates. Aphex Aural Exciter is something I had considered, but perhaps will pass it. AR plugins rarely go at $29, so should choose one of them. H-Reverb also sounds great, but I think my Valhalla and NI reverbs will cover that ground.

Just wondering, whats so great about that Saturator? Waves have it on sale and bundled with a bunch of MDMX effects.VincentVega wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2019 5:15 pmCan confirm. Can't comment much on Saturator right now, but I would say it's a deal not to be missed if you are into Waves. You are essentially getting 5 plugins (4 + 1 free) for a bargain. They sound quite good from what I heard and the GUI is pretty good too.telecode wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 1:07 pmJust wondering, whats so great about that Saturator? Right, especially if you like companies that mislead their customers on purpose with false advertising tactics?LoveEnigma18 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 1:14 pmCan't comment much on Saturator right now, but I would say it's a deal not to be missed if you are into Waves. Sounds as if you are using an echoplex plugin on your QWERTY keyboard as the same thing keeps getting repeated!profaudio wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 1:28 pmRight, especially if you like companies that mislead their customers on purpose with false advertising tactics?LoveEnigma18 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 1:14 pmCan't comment much on Saturator right now, but I would say it's a deal not to be missed if you are into Waves. Yes, it's fun to be ignorant and undermining towards people https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_underminingagharta wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 1:44 pmSounds as if you are using an echoplex plugin on your QWERTY keyboard as the same thing keeps getting repeated!profaudio wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 1:28 pmRight, especially if you like companies that mislead their customers on purpose with false advertising tactics?LoveEnigma18 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 1:14 pmCan't comment much on Saturator right now, but I would say it's a deal not to be missed if you are into Waves. Someone commented that they couldn't see my 1. IMG post
2. is a link to the IMG (just in case - and therefore people cannot see the image until they click the link)
3. Is the text for the link
Not to mention: repeating something 3 times "makes it stick" https://www.readingrockets.org/article/ ... e-learning
Which clearly people need, since either they have no moral compass and are happy at false adveritising practices, or they are being ignorant (and like you undermining)
Thanks!

And I can tell you this is much more than the $24 'loss' of a saturator plugin. I am disgusted with Waves' actions - and therefore ALL of my Waves plugins are currently a waste of money as I will refuse to use them or sell them to anyone else. Their non-responsiveness is making the issue WORSE. I will ask for a complete refund of every penny of every purchase.

ExVAT though - so add another 20%.
Is ImpOSCar still stand up? Oddity still sounds good and ImpOSCar was a favourite when released years ago but that was now some 15 years.
