Thanks for putting back the Padshop discussion on the right track again. In fact, your post reminds me that I should try using my Zynaptiq Adaptiverb with Padshop, I’m sure they gonna make an amazing combo for deep soundscapeSparkySpark wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2019 12:03 am No, let's talk (pad)shop. I have now played around with it for a week or two and it is so inspiring! It really goes to show that good software does not have to be from last year or so. It is especially great with a good reverb, such as the Eventides (Blackhole or SP2016 in my case). Some software almost screems for a good reverb, and this is one of them.
I have listened to a lot of old DM songs lately, very carefully through my new studio headphones. It is interesting to hear how much sound they make with just a pad, some homebrewn samples and basic drumming and bass+lead. What the old songs all have in common is loads of reverb (also on the vocals). I guess Padshop + Eventide reverbs would be a good fit for similar, but future-looking music today (say, more like the soundscapes in the videos in this thread).

Anybody have a clue how to deal with this error message when trying to open a Padshop 2 upgrade:
I've installed it twice now, each time getting a bunch of reports about how the elicenser stuff has "succeeded" or whatever, and I have a code from the email, but never get asked for it…stumped! OF course I don't actually have a physical dongle, which hasn't kept Halion or Padshop Pro from working. MANY thanks in advance for any suggestions; seems like every time I try to do something Steinberg related I get lost and baffled.
And does this look right? Doesn't to me (where's the vsts?) and I can't un-grey that first option, but what do I know; it's Steinberg!

I would try to download and re-install the latest e-licenser software from the steinberg website. Hope this helps. The VST´s are greyed out and not selectable

Yes, If I had more cash and more time to spend on my VST stuff I would definitely purchase Adaptiverb. Let us know how it works out for you!Neon Breath wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2019 5:44 am Thanks for putting back the Padshop discussion on the right track again. They are indeed. Actually I think they are much better than the factory presets (including the Factory Pro presets). They show off Padshop's capabilities better, and they also sound more musical to me.LoveEnigma18 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 6:50 pmHeavenly. Sorry if this has been asked and answered.
The Steinberg site says Windows 10 required. Is anybody running this on windows 7 without problems? I’m buying up a bunch of stuff for tax write offs now that the new year is almost here and I’d love to play around with this. I’m not really willing to bother if it could be problematic. I use cubase so I would hope it would be a nice fit.

Steinberg has 50% off Zero Gravity and Granular Guitars, which makes it interesting. Can anyone please confirm if these libraries work with Padshop 2 without any issues?
