is there a keyboard shortcut to switch from file mode to action mode? without having to click their respective tabs?

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "file mode" and "action mode"? What tabs are you referring to?

Yes, I have these personally set up as custom macros like so:
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

There's a button in my screenshot called "Add a new macro". Then once it's added, double click the name ("Show Actions Browser" in my screenshot) to rename it.
Then you can simply type that text in. The tick in the bottom right should go green if it worked correctly.
If you right click the 'actions' text, you should see the other options such as 'files', 'search' etc.

It's very straight forward Carl. Click "Add a new macro", then double click the name and call it "Show action browser". Now click in the bottom panel and type the following code:carllackey wrote: Thu Feb 20, 2020 2:44 pm i copied everything that was on the screen but it doesn't work any suggestions? i really could use these!!
Code: Select all
Tracktion.showSidePanel ('actions');
