is there a keyboard shortcut to switch from file mode to action mode? without having to click their respective tabs?

Post

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "file mode" and "action mode"? What tabs are you referring to?

Post

let's say i'm dragging in a loop from the browser and then want go to the action panel. is there a shortcut besides moving the mouse to click on the action tab?

Post

Yes, I have these personally set up as custom macros like so:

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

thanks!!!

and how do you add macros?

Post

i watched the tutorial and i can't find the 3 actions that you had in your shortcuts. these are the very ones i was hunting for.

There's a button in my screenshot called "Add a new macro". Then once it's added, double click the name ("Show Actions Browser" in my screenshot) to rename it.

Then you can simply type that text in. The tick in the bottom right should go green if it worked correctly.
If you right click the 'actions' text, you should see the other options such as 'files', 'search' etc.

It's very straight forward Carl. Click "Add a new macro", then double click the name and call it "Show action browser". Now click in the bottom panel and type the following code:

Code: Select all

Tracktion.showSidePanel ('actions');
Now select the new macro (Show action browser) in the keyboard shortcuts list under "Macros" and assign a keyboard shortcut by clicking the "+" symbol. Now the macro should run when you press the assigned keys. Repeat this for the files browser and search tab.
