It will be very fine. I tested plugins and what I heard I liked.
I would like to buy them. For me his sound it's soundtoys killer.
Urs great job.

Urs great job.
I still miss a good saturation unit, and a vocal aimed uhbik :)

I am so close to having a U-he-only setup. A distortion/saturator/overdrive, and that drum machine would do it.
Agreed re: confusing naming.

Wait and see.

Hi Urs, is there an expected release date yet?

We have postponed testing/fixing a few things (surround, NKS) and also the whole matter of "meaningful unit readouts" such as Hz for frequency bands somewhat depends on a developer who's absent till July.

While I'm sure we'll have a new alpha version in a few weeks, I'm afraid I have no idea what all the other stuff entails. We originally wanted to use Superbooth20 (end of April, now cancelled of course) as deadline, but I can't see this happening at the moment. For instance, no-one working from home has access to a surround environment. Once a fast test for SARS-CoV-2 is available, things may become a lot easier and maybe we can schedule days and sessions where it's safe for a team to work together closely.

Safety first. Totally agree that it's best to keep everyone out of close quarters unless absolutely necessary and play it safe. Hopefully any delay won't do too much harm to the business and maybe other things that don't require folks being in the office can be prioritized to make up for it. This whole thing is causing a lot change to business plans at my own company, lots of things being shuffled around. Do what you have to do to protect your employees, and if that means reshuffling some priorities, so be it. Best of luck to all of you!

Well, I think we'll be relatively fine. Online sales continue, work continues, some new work culture needs to be adapted to. On a plus side, we write down what we want to say in meetings first, then discuss in a chat. This way we have way better meeting minutes than we used to.

Apart from our health, the probably the biggest dangers we - as a company - could face are collapse of any of our credit institutes (or devaluation of cash in our company accounts), collapse of infrastructure (web, electricity, water, food supply, day to day stuff). I don't think any of these are very likely considering that none of these happened in the Hubei region either.

I have got too +1 this post and it's tone in particular - I think in this difficult time there is nothing gained from complaining about delays/changes etc. Let's all try looking out for each other.

Makes me think that another possible silver lining from a changed society is as people pull together a more civil internet appears
I believe every thread should devolve into character attacks and witch-burning. It really helps the discussion.

Yeah ... way too much to say about all this.
Good to live in an age of online sales though--virtual products even better, considering. Hopefully parcel services won't shut down. We make sanitizer and have been absolutely slammed. We even had to throttle sales, because we're worn out! Never thought I'd see that.
Anyway, stay healthy everyone. Remember too, you can always do inexpensive things like inhale 1% hydrogen peroxide from a nebulizer or cold-mist humidifier, if you come down with it. Quinine is another inexpensive thing which may prove effective here. Trick is getting stuff like this before it sells out.

Anyway, really looking forward to Uhbik 2!

It would be soundtoys killer indeed.
Do want Uhbik-Sat
Murderous duck!

I think there was talk of saturation features coming in the form of a Presswerk-like mastering tool? I think Sascha threw it out there, in 2018 or 19.

Btw, Zebrify is great for distortion. It's really useful on vocals and bass guitar. Bass distortion can be tricky to nail too, and Zebrify does it for me.
Still, I'd love to have Uhbik-Sat, something to rival FabFilter Saturn.

Urs wrote in the other Uhbik thread:

"Until release, the price stays €149, then (mid of January) goes up to €199. (Consider the current price tag an introduction offer to V2.0)

The upgrade is free for existing owners of a 1.x license."
WTF!? That’s amazing! I still use the Ubik 1 plugins a lot. They’re great.
