So it would've been fine if she burned herself with a 75C coffee, but 85C is suddenly restaurant's fault?

Yup, that makes total sense.

Even the Wikipedia entry mentions that:
The case was said by some to be an example of frivolous litigation;[4] ABC News called the case "the poster child of excessive lawsuits",[5] while the legal scholar Jonathan Turley argued that the claim was "a meaningful and worthy lawsuit".[6] Ex-attorney Susan Saladoff sees the manner in which the case was portrayed in the media as purposeful misrepresentation due to political and corporate influence.[7] In June 2011, HBO premiered Hot Coffee, a documentary that discussed in depth how the Liebeck case has centered in debates on tort reform.[8][9][10]

Right. Because man who's suffered from depression his whole life and started taking anti-depressants upon finding out his wife has cancer is something to laugh at. Well done, you brave person!

This thread has quickly become a wonderful opportunity to see how many of these you can find: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fallacies (really disappointed there is no popcorn eating smiley though).

Only KVR can have a thread start with a claim of stealing and turn in to an argument about the temperature coffee should be brewed at. Classic KVR :?

I will just add this for completeness, removing the option to auto-renew is exactly what the Nazis would have done! (Godwin's law!!)

Thank you for adhering to the holy rules of the internet! Let's just hope no one wants to give rule 34 a shot...

The reason the "auto-renew" button should be removed is because it can cause some people who are not very well off financially to have an unexpected deduction from their bank account which puts them in the red.

Some banks charge quite large fees for unagreed overdrafts.

In these difficult days we live in with people losing their jobs it could mean the difference between someone eating or not for a week.

On top of that they permanently hold details of your debit or credit card which is never a good idea.

Sorry, but if someone lives paycheck to paycheck then using an OPTION to auto-renew anything should be the last thing they should use... That's just common sense. You're getting caught up in all those safety nets.

What do you think porn stars live off of? The things they "eat" and "swallow" usually are not very nutricious and filling :(

excuse me please wrote: Wed Apr 15, 2020 10:37 am People make mistakes, therefore Bitwig has an 'undo' option. Seems legit.
Then again, by pushing some button in Windows, the initial option goes something like: 'are you sure?'

In other words: this is a big mistake by Bitwig. Extremely aggressive approach for selling stuff, I'd say.
Seriously, offering 'an option' that requires the user to take an action to select it is not extremely aggressive.
I think you completely miss the point. So the 'undo' option should be removed in Bitwig? Could also cost serious producers money btw.
Seems you are not one them, though. I rest my case.

Man, that'd be so interesting. The ability to disable undo, so you'd either have to delete the track or continue.
Signatures are so early 2000s.
