TheMaestro wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2020 12:05 pmSo what do people want for 3.3?
I imagine the same that people want for 3.2, because inevitably 3.2 will add things no one was asking for, like 3.1 did ;) :D
I never asked for (or imagined) the pop up browser and smart collections but it is now one of my favourite features!
That's not what I meant. I like & use Pitch-12 modulator, quick draw/slice, note chase and interactive help all the time, too. I just meant what I wanted from 3.1 wasn't included then, so my expectations moved to 3.2 and I think they'll move again to 3.3 soon(ish) :)

Sounds like my wife

- I don't know what I want - surprise me!
- that isn't what I wanted! :borg:
You should know your wife good enough to know what to surprise her with.
Just as Bitwig should know their users.
There are two kinds of people in the world. And you're not one of them.

I have only been married 30 years, what do I know! :help:

You are assuming all Bitwig users want the same thing, that is far from true- dig up the last poll (there is a thread somewhere) there wasnt that much consensus, even for a top 3!
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Well, seems like 3.2 Beta is here:

This looks absolutely killer - arrays in the grid, a new 15(!!!) mode filter for the grid (notches here I come baby), saturator, oh boy!

I like the new psychedelic look of it   mixer also looks quite cool now

Hm, I don't see anything in this video that would make me renew my license - guess I'll stay on 3.0 for a few months more.

I really wonder where the CEO's head is at. Why do they pay them anyway? Is it a charity foundation or something?

The engine itself is constantly improving.

How so? I haven't really followed development apart from looking at the latest release notes of 3.1 and now 3.2.
Any improvements with GPU usage?

Many small things that do not get listed on the changelog, but from 3.0 to 3.2, it adds up.
Try 3.2 demo when it will be out.
Cheers,

Ok, thanks. Smooth performance and improvements to the arranger (timestretching on the timeline and better waveform display mostly) are the things I'm waiting for, though.

For everything else, 3.0 works fine enough.

Things I wish got some more attention

Clip Launch Love is still needed.

I want my Computer with Bitwig to be an instrument. (Many people pull this off with Abelton ie Sylvan Esso)

Clips Next Action Go To Next Scene or Scene #. I am using more clip blocks and I would want a song to go to Verse, Chorus, Bridge, ETC without me touching Bitwig (I usually am playing keyboard) I want to repeat parts or skip parts on command (This happens live most of the time.

Clip Blocks are all under one scene and not spread through more scenes. I want to have 3 different bass lines and 3 different drum patterns that play randomly for a verse and a chorus or that I control to change its feeling or to create a buildup.

Chord Track I organize my music through chord progressions, 99% of how live musicians communicate the music is through chords. The only sheet music without chords is classical and we aren't making classical music. Give me a way to also generate chords on the chord track (Like Waveform). I don't use sample s so time stretch and pitch shifting isn't my concern though i imagine there are plenty who would want those features also.

My worthless two cents,

Marc

Bitwig is my DAWs and UHe and Tracktion Synths are my Bae. I maybe buy one synth a year. REMEMBER SELF just one synth a year!
