Allergies are my worst enemy too, usually in the spring. For the last few years a nasal spray has worked wonders for me! Hope yours clears up soon.
Bandcamp
Music with progressive intent.

Like it. :tu: Started off with a really nice chord progression; was hooked at the beginning.
Also really thought the repeating of "press release" three times was interesting and effective.
@2:54 good chord progression and solo.
I hope the song is not a reflection of you and the wife having a tense time? ;)
There have been a few moments of marital tension in my house in the past few weeks but we're surviving!

Thanks for the listen and feedback. No, nothing to do with anything at home. In fact, when I write a song, it's just a song and rarely, if ever, has anything to do with me. I am almost completely separated from my music, which may be a good or bad thing depending how you look at it.

I'm listening to "Everyday Is Like Sunday" by Morrissey now and I really don't hear it. Hell, I wish I could sing as well as he does.
Try "the father who must be killed" from Ringleader Of The Tormentors.

wagtunes,
Thank you for the review! Now reviewing 'Just Like Every Monday': I like the intro guitar riff and lead guitars best: nice! I think your vocals are pretty good overall on this song, despite what you say. I like most all of the melodies. Audio quality is good. When there is a brief break, I wondered if it suddenly stopped, but glad it continued (I liked the brief break). What's the vocal-like organ synth sound: sounds interesting? My allergies were at the worst when I was around 20 years old; not nearly as bad as they used to be, but still get sniffly at times. Carry on! :)

Aaron, thanks for the listen. The organ like synth is a Zebra 2 patch that I made specifically for this song with lots of high pass filtering on it.

Thanks for the kind words on the vocals. I don't think I'm ever going to like my voice, though on some songs it sounds better than on others.

I've been using Zebra (and I have ZebraHZ) for several years; I wouldn't have guessed that's what it was. Though I've found Zebra to be very versatile for a non-sample based synth.

That second track’s intro is awfully similar to La Bamba. Nothing wrong with that though.
Many paid and free VSTs as well as Kontakt libraries. As well as HW synths/drum machine and acoustic instruments.

Interesting. Never give that song a second thought. Was never one of my favorites. Of course it's a pretty common chord progression so there is that.

jlem - wow, thats poppy!
now this is a song! i can hear this being recorded by a band too, very catchy.

the morrisey comparison, wasnt the whole song, but there ws sone part early on, there was a bit of "last of the famous international playboys" going on, which is apt, given thats your tune! :hihi:

seriously, nice work! :tu:

Thanks Vurt. Hope you're doing well stuck in the dungeon somewhere. How come not hearing any new stuff from you?

3rd track from my upcoming CD "RPM II"

Lessons

What have you got to say for yourself
You screwed up again
You walked out on what we had
You do this now and then
How many times do
You think I'll take you
Back into my arms girl

Have you learned your lessons
ABCD All the way home
Have you learned your lessons
It's not like this is so unknown
Can you get your degree
Masters or PhD
Have you learned your lessons
For loving me

Repeating mistakes is just your style
You're the head of the class
You turned it into an art
You're a pain in the ass
How many times do
You think I'll take you
Back into my arms girl

Repeat Chorus

This is your last chance
To do this last dance
No way can this go on

Instrumental Break

How many times do
You think I'll take you
Back into my arms girls

Repeat Chorus
