Yeah, looks like learned MIDI CC isn’t properly stored on plugin state. Will add this to the todo.zmix wrote: Wed Apr 22, 2020 8:46 pmIt "works" now, but it doesn't properly save the assignments. Perhaps you could implement a recallable default state or a file that was read upon instanciation?discoDSP wrote: Wed Apr 22, 2020 3:23 pmThanks for the report. I think it may be a good decision disabling midi learn/clear until a proper implementation is working as it should.zmix wrote: Wed Apr 22, 2020 3:18 pm When a parameter is assigned via the "Learn" button it is not remembered.
Also the CC data does not affect the GUI knob position.

Filter with envelopes on this synth doesnt sound like typical 24db filter , it sounds more like 12 which makes it hard to produce punchy slow brass sounds, quite impossible. But maybe thats how original was.
The sound is very good tho.

That's a common issue with the simple non-linear `models` used in digital filters. They also tend to cut "too much" in the high-frequency range as you turn the cutoff up, especially with high-pass filters. You can overcome the cutoff warping by using higher sample rates (or oversampling) but the issues with non-linearity are much more complex.
In short: the models are inaccurate, so they use too much saturation to emphasize the effect. This creates too many harmonics that are too loud, which makes the filters seem "too bright".
The harmonics in most analog filters are at much lower levels which makes them sound "smoother", "rounder", "warmer" or "woody".

No, any plugin format can be installed independently. They only share the Documents > discoDSP > OB-Xd folder between them.
