Keep in mind that not everything you read on cracks-sites is true...
It is true that we deactivate illegal keys that have been purchased with stolen credit-cards. As a legit user you do not have to care about it at all, since there is not a single user known who had trouble with this. As a pirate you got the choice to buy a legit license or to uninstall the software.
It is a common practise by software companies to blacklist stolen keys.
The online-check has been removed completely for most products. Those who still got it will get a removement with the next update.

KVR is full of musicians who have made mistakes: it is one thing that unites us.
It sounds like the Dev is on the right track with his company now.
Life is full of egrets.

You're wrong. He removed it. He said so in the other post.excuse me please wrote: Mon May 04, 2020 10:12 am "Did you also know that their installers come with hunter-killer side program that searches all through your Program Files, System32, WOW64 and so on, looking for ripped off copies of their products, and when it finds one it dials home and meanwhile kills the synth, etc., it deems unlicensed?"
Why spread misinformation?
I wonder what happens if I press this button...

For the good order: I picked what I remembered from kvr. Blame Google for it, don't shoot the messenger. Btw I just went to tone2 site and it seems they have great synths.

I'm not a Tone2 customer (not yet, at least) but I really appreciate this. Thanks!

I think the apology was absolutely necessary! It's not for the current customers, who seem to generally be very happy with their products, but for people like me, who have watched controversy follow this developer for over a decade, and have sworn to keep well away.
It's not that people shouldn't be allowed to make mistakes, but when there's no acknowledgment of mistakes all trust disappears.
Acknowledgment, apology and reparation are all ways to rebuild that trust. It may not end up with a huge amount of new set of customers, but it'll hopefully stop these issues being reopened like fresh wounds every time a 'developers to avoid' thread turns up
Good job

i've been using tone2 synths for years, without issue (or, when occasional hiccups, their support has been excellent). but it's a great thing to be honest enough to post like this. will you be our president??....
(btw, icarus2 is one of my fave plugins, and am using it a lot)

Markus, my only complaint is that BiFilter isn't 64bit Mac, that comb filter was secret sauce that is hard to replicate.
Apart from that, all good
