No, there are just few of them including you, opposed to everyone else that doesn't use it, don't be such an fanboi.
Im not, im just stating facts, alot of professionals especialy in the dance music industry are using FL Studio. Just in testimonials page its 151 artist and alot of them are/was in dj mag top 100. If those are not facts to you, then i dont know how else to convince you that FL Studio is popular. Its only proof you are being in denial and ignoring facts. ;)
It's your opinion, not an fact, go to current DJ Mag Top 100 and see how many people use what, than come back here again.
I did...thats why im saying - you are ignoring facts, well good luck, not going to waste my time on you :tu:

You didn't, you are just trying to pose your biased opinion as fact, if you had decency to do that you would see that majority actually do use Logic and Live, opposed to you I actually did that and everyone can go and check that for themselves, I have no horse in this race or my DAW of choice is my religion or something, pathetic display from your side, that is expected from an fanboi.

And do they only use ONE DAW?

That must be an error. Because Reaper has to be 80+%.

Reaper is 60 dollars. Plus free vsts like the following (which I'm just copying and pasting from an email I sent someone):
https://tal-software.com/products/tal-noisemaker
https://surge-synthesizer.github.io/
https://www.kvraudio.com/product/dexed- ... l-suburban
http://daichilab.com/synth1/ very old, multiple instances detuned to give fuller sound
https://www.tunefish-synth.com/download tunefish 4
https://u-he.com/products/zebralette/ lesser version of zebra 2. Only has one oscillator but you can just use multiple instances.
https://u-he.com/products/tyrelln6/ Look at Carl Saved's entry in April one synth challenge here at KVR.
https://www.thewavewarden.com/odin2 just came out, doesn't have many presets. Super versatile but not certain just how good it is capable of sounding yet.

There are many, many others. Like oatmeal, charlatan, OBXD, crystal. List here on the left but many of those are no longer free.
https://sites.google.com/site/kvrosc/rules

I would check out some free effects.
Best free reverb:
https://www.kvraudio.com/product/orilri ... is-tihanov
One of the best free compressors (though reaper stock compressor is pretty good):
https://www.tokyodawn.net/tdr-kotelnikov/
Very good free EQs (reaper stock EQ is OK):
https://www.voxengo.com/product/marvelgeq/ (this one may come with a bundle of stuff from medla production, some other good ones in the bundle are the mcomb filter, mautopan, saturators, distortion... etc...
https://www.kvraudio.com/product/luftikus-by-lkjb
triggergate and stereo control
http://www.alexhilton.net/A1AUDIO/index ... riggergate
OTT is some kind of distortion that can sound really good, sometimes
https://xferrecords.com/freeware
Then there's dblue glitch
http://illformed.org/
subfilter (can make the bass/kick huge)

I did try now many demo versions :D

-Ableton (I like the colors and how it look, but it feels very difficult).
-Reaper (I don't like it, I want to like it since the price is so low but I don't know... I try later again)
-Studio One (Difficult to say, it is yes and no. Somethings I think are very nice, and some I don't like)
-FL Studio (It has very good instruments but I need to see what instrument come with what edition because i don't want the most expensive edition, it look is very dark but some how I feel it is most easy to use from the start)
-Reason (I like how it look, I like the Europa sounds but that is only synth in Reason that give good sound, maybe the other synth are good when try to work more and put effect on them maybe).

After the quick try, I say FL Studio, then Reason or Studio One... Then Ableton and Reaper last. But I will try them ALL later and think how I like them after. Maybe I will try Bitwig also.

Cubase I don't like because it has the "dongle" you need to put on your computer always you use it (I did read it, or did I understand wrong?).

So tired now! :D

They use their main DAW for looking at and posting screenshots.
Then they use Bitwig for everything else.

How anyone can like the initial look/colors of Live, and then dismiss Reaper, is beyond me.

Maybe it's like how in tennis, players use what's called "paint jobs". They paint a racquet to look like some companies racquet, who just happens to be paying them to use their racquet. But really they're using the same racquet from like when they were 14. Companies will then do advertisements showing them hold their racquet in their hand and they just have to be careful of the wording. Lawsuits have been filed about this dishonest practice but haven't gone anywhere.
Anyway Reaper doesn't advertise.

fmr wrote: Fri May 08, 2020 12:19 pmLots of biased opinions around here (as expected). I think the OP now has ALL the information he needs (and A LOT he doesn't need :hihi:)
That's because we don't know enough and almost every DAW fits the bill these days.

For example OP could've:
- posted a link to his music,
- give some more info about preferred workflow, other than 'painting' MIDI in piano roll,
- elaborated on what is he going to record - vocals, instruments (synths, guitar, piano, modular),
- hinted at whether he's interested in live performance (not necessarily in front of audience, but even in the studio for more spontaneous creation process)

This could probably help narrowing down the suggestions (who am I kidding?! :D )
Sorry I will answer now!
-I have no music yet :( So I can no give any link. I did try Garageband and did make some melodies but no real songs. Or I did some full songs, but not for internet sorry.
-Workflow? I don't understand? I think I first always create the part with bass, melody, kick clap - the part after verse + bridge (I don't know English name). And if I like it, I will create verse + bridge leading to this "full" part/chorus (sorry I don't know the names in English).
-Vocals recoded
-Only record in home, not live (if I some day go for a club show I can have playback for music and sing live).
