At some point, grave digging becomes sweet archaeology.
Oldest version of the plug-in I have is much later after VSTGUI was used in Dec 23rd 2004:

I wonder if maybe the only versions I'm finding via youtube are remakes rather than the original.confusion wrote: Madness!
Modified DX- piano with DX- horns, the heavy reverb strings sound DX- too! The samples would be trivial if you had the dumped samples from the ROM source (whatever machine it is, LM-1 ?) and then some cheaper 80s style reverb, delay and compression effects.
It actually sounds to me like it was done entirely on a DX- synthesizer and I can't pick out any subtractive sounds at allIn terms of accuracy; obviously the single modulator to carrier FM Xhip can do won't get you there at all, but a subtractive version might definitely sound cool.
If it was produced in 1980 they couldn't have been using a DX-7, so I wonder what the story behind that stuff is![]()
Yes, i was talking about this version.aciddose wrote: Mon May 11, 2020 12:25 am I wonder if maybe the only versions I'm finding via youtube are remakes rather than the original.
