It wasn't a quote it is a statement of how things are. There are finer detailed FR's that are left out due to their lack of popularity. It's not a judgement or damnation so please don't see it that way. My apologies if it came across wrong.

'Left out' means they have not been implemented. There is no way every FR can be added as it has been stated many times, you are a lone dev and it's physically impossible, understandable, completely.

I didn't realise you were actually adding FR's that way, I mean... I have no idea what's on the Todo list ;)
Perhaps you should think of a way of expanding without giving up control? Plugins or scripting has been mentioned before. At least this way, smaller FR's could be implemented by the community rather than yourself?

Hope I didn't hit a nerve, I just want to try and help :)

MuLab 8.6.7 is available in http://www.mutools.com/mulab/beta/

What's changed:
  • "Export Composition As Audio File" and "Export Tracks As Audio Files" now also support exporting to Ogg files.
  • Drag-dropping an Ogg file on a waveform displays now properly works.
  • VST Plugin Manager now also memorizes whether a VST is a 32 bit or 64 bit plugin. Upon choosing a VST in your project, only the matching VSTs are shown, ie. MuLab 64 bit won't show 32 bit VSTs in the popup list.
  • VST Plugin Manager: Right-click -> "Rescan" will now rescan all selected plugins.
  • MUX Modular Area -> The "Rearrange Meta-Parameters" function has been replaced by drag-dropping a meta-parameter onto one of its sibling meta-parameters.
  • Project Browser -> "Where" popup list now also includes "Project Folder".
  • Audio recording: The input level meter was not visible anymore. Fixed.
How to update MuLab:
Windows: Replace the current MuLab.exe and MuLab.ID by the new versions.
MacOS: Replace the current MuLab.app by the new version.

MUX Plugin 8.6.7 is available in http://www.mutools.com/mux/beta/

This update includes all relevant improvements listed earlier in this M8.6 thread.

On top of that: In order to avoid possible conflicts with the host while scanning plugins, MUX 8.6 Plugin now uses a more conservative way to show the User License Agreement: It is not shown while the host just scans MUX Plugin, the ULA is only shown when using the editor for the first time.

How to update MUX Plug-in:
Windows: Replace the current MUX DLL and ID files by the new versions. (4 files in total)
MacOS: Replace the MUX .VST file by the new version (assumes you already have installed the complete MUX 8 zip)

Alright so I finally took the time to customize the looks of Mulab and MUX to my liking, and oh my this is awesome! I'm a Bitwig user and generally a fan of it's GUI, so I took the design philosophy of Ableton/Bitwig and got to making a theme. I'm still not quite sure about the knobs, but man is Mulab 8 a gorgeous application now!

New M8 look:

As compared to the older M8 look:

Seriously a great GUI now. Sure it doesn't have smooth animation like Ableton or the visualizers like Bitwig, but it's so much better than how it was before. Keep it up Jo!

EDIT: Also the pop-up browser is simply bliss. That is such a productivity boost when building patches and selecting what I need. Browser gets used mostly for sample searching now while I do all my patch insertions via the pop-up browser. So yeah, the new GUI rocks!

MuLab 8.6.9 has become an official release version.
If you already have installed M8.x then the quickest way to update is:

MuLab: http://www.mutools.com/mulab/app-patch/

MUX Modular Plug-In: http://www.mutools.com/mux/app-patch/

Your main download page seems to still only offer 8.5.4, though.

http://www.mutools.com/mulab-downloads.html
http://www.mutools.com/mux-downloads.html

The confusion is being caused by the fact that text on your webpage about the announcement implies there's a download of an 8.6 version from those pages ie.
If you already have installed MuLab 8.x then you can apply this quick update
Else download the complete MuLab package here.
('here' being the main downloads page, as per above.)

That's offering me the 8.6.9 beta, though, right? Not a final release 8.6. Ive already installed that via the links in this thread.

My mistake :dog: i simply forgot to upload the updated download pages. Done now. NB: You might need to refresh your browser.

M8.6.9 was the last beta version and also became the release version. So if you have M8.6.9 you're up to date :tu:
