Wow...that was nice. Loved the flute and the thick reverb. The vocals weren't really articulate enough for me to get a meaning. But somehow they fit the track just fine.
You get a twofer. My wife enjoyed it .she said it was very soothing and sounded hippy.
Thanks for sharing.

Thank you both.
Now it's time to go to bed
Lay down your weary head
For all the things you did before
Can't hurt you anymore
Love is good and love is kind
It always will defend you
And in the green fields of your mind
You'll find a sanctuary
And I'll be there in blue and white to guide you
And there's no need to worry about
The things we both can do without
And in the morning sun shines bright
Upon our satin pillow
Lazily I'll slip downstairs
To make a cup of tea
Then we'll light a candle for
The love we feel between us
Wishing every day could be
The same for you and me
And I'll be there in flesh and blood to hold you
And there's no need to worry about
The things we both can do without
It might help if I give you the lyrics:Scrubbing Monkeys wrote: ↑Mon Jun 01, 2020 11:21 pm The vocals weren't really articulate enough for me to get a meaning.

Like vurt says, the second part has a definite Syd vibe, and I'm also reminded of parts of "On the Sunday of Life" which has a similar style in places. I think the reverb on the vocals definitely helps to establish authentic hippy credentials. I loved the whistle in the first part, which had a pleasant "wandering" quality.
Good work

the first few albums are very floyd, more gilmour's than barretts, but a little of both and well worth the listen.
later on they got a big more prog metal, still great but not the same style.
steven wilson now does solo stuff, and has several side projects of a more kraut rock style
