i look forward to it.
im sure you've picked up a few techniques on all of these tribute type things, as you say, its how we progress![]()
1. Various arrangement techniques. Each artist has his or her own unique way of arranging songs. There are all these subtle nuances that you really have to listen for. It's those little things that actually give each artist their unique sound. Listen to NiN's synth sounds and how they're used. Very different from most artists.
2. Mixing technniques. How each artist mixes their songs is sometimes very unique. Queen vocals in particular. There are even tutorials online how to get that vocal sound.
As a result of all this, I'm doing things that I would have never thought of doing on my own. And now those things have become part of my tool box. Eventually, I'll be doing my own songs that have a combination of all these little tricks that, hopefully, will develop into a sound that is uniquely my own, though I'm not going to hold my breath on that.
