*phew* good to see that I am not the only one that thinks the Sequencer needs some work!

I also think that it would be extremely helpful for both the Sequencer and MidiMaps to have a dropdown to choose the increments of values.

Meaning, the ability to just enter either decimals or quarter values, so if you slide a sequencer or midimap step, you go 10-20-30-40, etc, instead of 1-2-3-4-5, etc. or 25-50-75-100 so it is easier to setup the shapes.

so a dropdown that has : Units/Decimals/Quarter
But then a strange fear gripped me
and I just couldn't ask....

I'd love a more robust sequencer with a bit more inspiration from eurorack sequencing. Maybe an entirely separate page with a bunch of modular sequencing tools that can be patched together (and then a bunch of sequencer CV in/out on the main page, maybe even a straight up patch bay rather than or in addition to hardwired routings so that any CV signal can be passed between the tabs)

For me Bazille is exactly what I want in modular when it comes to audio, but I like the idea of having similar madness over CV. The de-coupling of gates from pitches is a great compositional tool in euro.

Edit: POLYRHYTHMS PLS

Bazille 2 feature request...Eurorack. Seriously. Each module. I'd love for Bazille to be my first foray into the hardware modular world. That would be special.

Post

My wish is to change the modules, something like in diva, change the oscilstors from Digital to analog for example so we can mix analoge and digital oscilators. And change the filter Modul. Maybe a drive knob, shape etc

Bazille 2 features:

Oscillator Copy/Paste (input cables included)

Some more FX options (maybe the same 4 slots but with 6-8 fx to choose from) including per voice distortion.

On the main page FX window, each of the 4 FX has 2 mod inputs

A morph/performance tab (like Zebra) with an XY pad with 4 slots (1 in each corner). Each slot can have a snapshot/preset which has the same wiring and menu choices but different parameter values. Then the X/Y pad morphs between the various saved states. There would also be a way to record the XY movement.

Expression curves for MPE parameters. (maybe living on the new morph tab :))

What is per-voice distortion? (Do you mean that Bazille's current distortion affects the summed output of all playing voices, rather than distorting them individually?)

As a side note, I've never got why people don't like Bazille's distortion unit; I find it super versatile.

Post

Yes, Bazille distortion acts on all voices summed. Repro-5 has a per-voice distortion module.

For per-voice distortion, try a filter.

Yes, exactly... RePro-5 has per voice distortion

I love the FX in RePro-5... between the per voice distortion, Velvet, Sonic Conditioner and RESQ there is so much great sound shaping...

I'd be happy if the RePro-5 FX were transplanted into Bazille.

And may I ask what it is about per-voice that you like? Is it something that offers functional benefits (i.e. being able to produce a particular effect), or does it just sound bigger/fatter?

I would also be happy if features were transplanted from other synths and offered as interchangeable modules. Oscillators from Diva or ACE (maybe ACE's LFOs too), filters from Diva/Zebra, effects from Repro perhaps, and so on.

However, my only concern is that in advocating for these features, I wonder whether I am pushing for Bazille to become less unique... more like a cousin of Zebra with a different interface, and some extra audio-rate modulation options. I'm sure that would be amazing, but I wonder whether it is faithful to the unique, boundary-pushing spirit of Bazille 1. I would love it if Bazille 2 borrowed modules from the rest of U-he's instruments... but I would also be excited if Bazille 2 went on a completely different path, eschewing crowd-pleasing modules in favour of experimental new features.

Not the original requester but I'd say the biggest benefit/downside (depending on what you want) to per voice distortion is the lack of intermodulation distortion (the ring mod-esque "out of tune" in-harmonics you get by running two different notes through a heavy distortion)

Ain't quite the same as all the per-voice distortion options in Repro-5, surely :)

I love using the filters' distortion. Of course, this comes at the cost of the filter's bandpass and hipass capabilities.

Different of course - but does it matter?

Simple request: a proper Triangle waveform for the oscillators, so I don't need to sacrifice a ModMap.
